i'm not sure what the point in playing is gonna be for bh with no real marks..... i don't know anyone that likes hunting npc's for anything other than loot....and what good is loot if there's no one to kill?

i really don't understand this at all.....people say they want to do the quests without pvping....but what is the reason to do the quests? for me it's to get things to make my character stronger for pvp.. everything i do is to make me stronger for pvp....why els would you do anything. to me that's the real challenge. why would i want a quest reward crystal why i dont' even pvp? or whatever reward... decorating houses is fun and all, but whatever......

lets buy an online game so we can play against other players but not fight.....makes no sense to me....

I guess make do with the pvp and duels. Dueling is the only way to get that 1 on 1 aspect back that we had. Much more civilized I think. Either way I really hope all this helps make the game more like it was intended to be: an Empire Divided. This kinda paves the way for attackable and attack ready vehicles and what not in the GCW. ATATs, Rebel tanks ect. would be nice additions. I'd like to see a Mercenary faction that coud tef to either side but that could get out of hand so I guess that would have to wait.

dueling is practice for me, nothing els. i'm not gonna play this game to duel. i love the idea of the gcw butonly as it involves players on both sides, i don't wanna fight npc rebels. the state of pvp right now consists of tryijng to get a group together and searching for overts of the opposing faction and fighting for the sake of fighting. it's horrific, and is totally unsatisfying. this is a war, i shouldn't have to log in and look for the enemy. yet, i can still go combatant and attack reb bases with no fear of players hunting me?? if i wanna attack an actual pvp base i have to somehow find the vulnerablility time adn still fight a bunch of npc's???

this is stupid. if you like it more power to you. but imo pvp should be a struggle to find, it should be an everyday part of the game. well, different strokes for different folks i guess.

I picked BH as my starting profession in the game simply because it was inherently appealing without it ever having to do anything with pvp... BH's in the movies were never depicted taking missions to hunt Jedi. BH's were seen taking missions to kill smugglers, politicians, etc.

I'd love to see more sophisticated BH missions than the ones we currently have, but by no means would I ever really want a player bounty system again, not unless it was completely optional for the players being hunted.

We could also use giving BH's a little bit more to do in the GCW than just jamming uplink terminals (or whatever the terminals are called, lol, I forget).

pussycat, why are you a bh? seriously, i'm not trying to be condisending at all i'm actually curious what you enjoy about it. if you don't want player marks, what do you like about it and what do you want to see happen with smugglers and such. i'm actually really trying to understand the other side of the coin. again it's none of my buisness but we obviously are at two sides of the spectrum.

i enjooy the idea of bounty hunting in an online game cause i like the idea of hunting not jedi in particular, but any player mark. the reason being that i respect the strategy another player can give me in a fight that an npc just can't do. i like the idea of hunting an actualy player around the starwars galaxy and defeating them. i never would want to attack someone who didn't want to be attacked. but these are the reasons i love being a bh. i would love a system which would continue to involve this, however i don't care if it's jedi or smugglers, to me smugglers seem the more obvious choice anyway. \

i'd love to hear what you are looking for specifically out of the bh experience as it pertains to this online game...

I liked Bounty Hunter when I began the game, because Jedi was not immediately available, and it just seemed like the profession with the most mystique (after Jedi) and it also enabled you to specialize in all three types of ranged weapons. But, more succintly, it was appealing even when there wasn't even any specific plan for player bounties - much less Jedi missions.

If there are ever again any type of player bounties in the game, it is absolutely essential that they be fully consensual, that nobody be forced to pvp due to profession or any type of consideration or playing preferrence. For many players, leveling or doing NPC missions is more than enough to keep us completely happy and satisfied with the games (it's usually the bugs that are annoying).

well, i think perhaps rather than make it consentual we should look into seperate servers (i know i'm repeating myself) as there are a wide range of gameplayers looking for different experiences. i would love a pvp live server, not one that involves shooting everyone up on site, but a well thought out live pvp server with real consequences for ones actions....

i think as online gaming evolves these problems we are facing will be sorted out in futur games, and i love the sw environment so it would be fun for this game too. i will miss my player bounties.

I think that we find ourselves in the situation we are in (cancelling player bounties) largely as a result of not having had an "opt-out" mechanism that would have allowed Jedi not to be hunted by PC's if they didn't want to (maybe we could have been hunted by NPCs instead).

As I said earlier, I don't have any ill wish against anybody who likes pvp, just as long as they understand that some of us like the game PERFECTLY FINE without pvp, or at least where there is no pvp unless we make a deliberate decision to engage in it, and under the terms of our choosing.

Well at least there is a lot more to do in the new system then Jedi.... They have zero endgame and are now a regular profession LOL

There has *always* been a lot more to do than Jedi, you never actually realized that? Wow.

And in case you still haven't figured it out, all professions now have the same endgame... I never thought they should have made Jedi an alpha class, and I'm glad that it's finally going to be that way in the game.

Pagoa, good to talk to you again. Why don't you try the GCW with me. It's actually quite a rush and should really get rolling as many, many players quit before because of the Jedi alpha class. Now that there is no more alpha class, the GCW should be packed with players. Also if you read the first impression thread, there are lots of positive reviews so far.

The GCW "should" be part of the everyday game, not like it has been before as you mention.
