Thread: MBH/MCM/ 37 points to spare

Ok so i got a predicament on my hands.

Looking at my end spend, im back from a long break and MCM looks real cool so im gonna go MCM. Someone said if i was gonna get the investigation tree (well no, keep the investigation tree, im an old school BH not a CU one, no offense though...) thati might as well keep MBH in the spend for the mods and for advanced critical. Seems like a sound idea to me, and i always like keeping the MBH so im not considered a dabbler.

So the question is what do i do with the left over 37 points?

I have 3 options

1) I dont know if MCM and MBH is enough, so if i wanted i could just sprinkle the points into fun skills, like survival, hunting, etc..

2) I could master any one tree in an elite ranged prof, i just dont know which one.

2a) Which tree do i take? And do i choose a tree for recon armor mods, a certain skill i should have to hunt jedi? Damage? Or to get state recoveries since MBH only has KD recovery?

3) I could get doctor. Thus allowing me to heal wounds, have way better healing mods (i do care about PvE and PvP) i can register at a medical place, better single heals.....and to make up for no state recoveries, i could just heal them off me.

I just have no clue what to do, because i dont know what my ability to go toe to toe with a Jedi is with only MCM/MBH and no other combat.

And my next question is this. If i go with option 1 or 3, which weapon should i use with only the MBH mods? rifle pistol or carbine?

Thanks for your time

Dont you guys remember in Return of the Jedi when Yoda said to luke
"luke, you must kill 1000 ewoks to become l33t !"
or
"Luke, the force is only to be use for knowledge and defense, never for attack, unless your slaughtering defensless ewoks for force crystals"

Because its offensive and defensive at the same time, very good for those long PvE fights, but at the same time has alot of nice skills for PvP as well. Im not single minded in PvP, i know when im not a healer class, in a large battle (if they even take place anymore, i miss street fights in theed) i appreciate nothing more then a random heal. But at the same time the DoTs, slows, and mezzes from the class are very PvP condusive, as well are the heals, its hard to take someone out when you cant catch them, do enough damage, or regen any of your pools.

Also, such abilities, from what i hear, really wear down on a jedis force pool, which is usually a nice death for them.

I also am on starsider, and like to RP, and the RP of a doctor is kinda neat.

0004 pistoleer would be a nice addition to that template for stopping shot, which is a root that wont break on damage.

thats what alot of people say, but you dont think that by not taking a tree with recoveries in it, or getting the ability to heal them with doctor im vulnerable to all state attacks?

That and when they remove the ability to chain root isnt 0004 pistol not as desirable for me?

Since im new, i just have no idea how bad the state abilities are.

States don't really do anything right now, and the removal of the abilityto chain rootwont effect stopping shot anyway, as it has a very long cooldown timer.

Another option would be to pick the speed tree of one of the ranged professions for some extra DPS.

well what im realizing now which is a big concern is, i only have 85 accuracy and 40 speed if i dont take another combat prof.

So my question is, am i going to be able to hit a thing with 85 accuracy? And will i even attack enough to make it worth my wild?

My sig is a little out of date, and my current template is actually MBH, MCM, 3000 carbineer (the speed tree), with my proton carb I have close to 600 modified DPS, and my accuracy is about 150 ish. It's a really nice all round template.

I would say Pistoleer for a root that dont break on Dmg and look for General Speed & General Acc

With the Heals in MCM..I dont beleve High Defence is a must have..
