Thread: My BH strategy (no Jedi exp loss)

Ok, Ive been a MBH for a little while now, and personally mainly because I like the thrill of the hunt more than the thrill of the kill. And we all know that hunting players is vastly different than hunting NPCs.

So, I adopted a strategy for myself regarding hunting Jedi, which if properly executed leads to the same thrill and no exp loss for the Jedi. And personally I consider it rather silly for one class of players to be able to inflict such an in-game penalty on another class, which lead to my own little mini-game for my MBH.

I will stalk and KD the Jedi at what I feel is the most inopportune time for them, and KD them...maybe blast off one other shot is they have a decent amount of health left.

Basically I consider myself successful if the Jedi runs at the alpha-strike, cloaks, forcerun or whatnot. Or in lieu of running, I get a flurry of tells after my initial KD to please stop and he/she will pay the bounty. If the Jedi wants to fight me, then I chalk it up as a loss already...but will bring my best fight if they pursue one!

Then, usually as the /tells go back and forth, about "Let me regen my force and Ill fight you" or "I was in the middle of a grind group..." or whatever, to which I always respond "Why do you think I attacked when I did?".And usually end by telling them no worries, I'll come hunt you again...but you will be just as surprised as the first time. Hehe, even if I drop the mission I know they will be looking over their shoulders for the next 3 days.

I'm not the ultimate BH, and don't really care to be, I justhave fun hunting.

Just my 2 cents

Well if you are in it for simply the thrill of the hun thats ok..tho you techincally are no longer a bounty hunter (you dont collect a bounty for not killing them) at that point you are just a sadist LOL

But I agree..there is a LOT of fun in just hunting these guys down and making them crap their robes when you KD them by suprise.

Be careful tho..simply hunting them for the fun of watching them get all excited could be considered greifing.

Well, I still run plenty of NPC bounty missions, and collect on them all...seems I feel no sympathy for those marks.

I actually consider handing another player an exp loss to be far more griefing than just giving them one hell of a jolt at the keyboard and getting their adrenaline flowing! Actually gets mine going just waiting for the best moment to strike, and that's the part I enjoy the most the 'Hunter' part.

And, I would never 'camp' them or follow them around mindlessly trying to give them visiblity or any other blatantly griefing types of behavior, that is wrong no matter who does it in my opinion. But I like the fact that they just don't know when or where I may show up, if I do my part well. Sadistic...probably, I've been called such before , but it sure is fun, and I figure we both got our content and no harm done either way...just a little fun!

Hehe, I'll even show-up un-buffed, no foods, in my casual clothes too. I'm usually the last one they expect to 'pop' them. Of course I have all my food and PvP macros ready to run if they desire a fight.

My personal favorites are the 'cloakers' who hunt while cloaked, they are a challenge for sure to pin down and target without being noticed.
