ok, ive done searches, cant find anything really up to date. I ve heard the easiest way to grind first 2 boxes is in tyrenna, is this true? Also ppl say make sure you max your xp cuz u can get the first 2 boxes done, but wont it cap out earlier than that? And once I get the first to boxes what should i do? Oh also, how many actual hours of grinding would you say it takes?

thanx in advance

First 10k xp is easiest, and cap out for sure. Yes go to tyrena because the mission terminals are next to the informant and a shuttleport is close by also, so get a misison get the wp from the informant if its by a city with a shuttleport do it, if its in the middle of no where don't do it just get another one. I would say about 1k xp an hour so 10 hours or so for the first 10k. After first 10k you have to train investigation 1 and once you have that you have to use droids and lots of shuttles, not fun.

I read somewhere a reccommedation to not take Lok mission but I have had great luck with Lok, one time my mark was 220m from the starport 30m into the river. He was a very easy kill.

I play 10 hours a day and I went from 0444 to 2444, almost halfway to 3444 in about 8 days. Have fun.

Is investigation experience still calculated against mission payout or is it off mob level? At present I am grindingmy ALTand currenly have Invest III and Carbines 3,x,x,x with a CL of 25.

Since its hard to get a good group with a low CL I figured It was easier to bring inv up first to raise level before doing the combat trees for BH and carbines.

At invest III the missions are around 15-16k payout a pop and generate mobs CL25-30 which I can take easily with a layered defences. Each mission at this level generates around 300-350 inv exp.

I ground BH three times prior to CU and it used to be balanced against mission payout with Slightly higher payout mission yielding higher inv rewards (10-15 more points)...

When I did it (right after CU), it was based on payout.

Switch your grind from Investigation and flesh out the remainder of your skills. Once you have proceeded as far as you can start Jamming "Uplink Terminals" in PvE / PvP Bases of opposite faction. Each one will yield 1k investigation XP and dashing into these bases before any of the NPC's even see you on your swoop will make things a touch eayser..

Oah ya.. If you see a Turret or two turn around and try another base unless you fancy suicide.

As much fun as I have had jamming uplinks in the past...This toon is strictly non-factional.

I will stick to the travel the galaxy meet interesting people and blast them approach...

To take down a factional base you need a number of profs to accomplish it. A BH's role is to jam the satillite uplink preventing the base from sending a distress call.

It grants a significant amount of investigation exp but is only open to factional players. If like me you want to stay out of the whole GCW and just make money then its not really an option
