I'm a MBH/Master Pistoleer...

i was running some NPC missions last night when I got a mark on Rori. Apparently, there's this big swampy area on Rori where it's pretty much covered in water, small 15x15m (or smaller)islands, and some shallow water that you can stand in.

This is where I found my cl8222k health mark.

This was the wierded fight ever.

Because of the terrain, it was nearly impossible to get in a position to actually begin the attack on the NPC. I sent in a bomb droid - but the mark never would counter attack (maybe because he was swimming?) So, i tried swimming out to the NPC to get it to agro me - but that was no good. So, on the way back to shore i saw a really tiny island that was within 35m of the mark. So, i'm standing on this tiny island, and the mark finally agros me - which was not a great thing...

The mark was a carbineer with a significantly greater range than me...so eventually, i realized that this mark is headed to me - and i have no where to run. So i root the mark, and burst run/swim to try and get out of range so I have time for my action to recover and time for my stimD timer to reset. Unfortunately, I didn't get away in time and the mark incap'd/killed me.

I was pissed - but I did the mark of the hero quest and have 48 charges on the ring - so i used it. The mark was at 1/2 health at this point.

Now that I died - my stomach was empty and with the use of the Ruby's i was able to heal enough that taking the remainder of the NPC's health was easy.

I got a Illegal Core Booster, a BH Helmet Schematic, and a stack of heavy duty clasps.

It was a long fun fight.

I had a tuff one myself last night. Fighting a Boss mark 35k ham, just started fighting him when the 2 Sith hunters showed up to steal my crystal i just got from the old man. Now those guys usually are not to hard to beat at level 77 i think they were, but when you have those 2 and the Boss hitting you it got a little hairy....

Boss loot was a Jar a Berries....

That's a great story! Good job on killing the mark!

I had a similar situation with a Jedi mark on Rori. Must have been the same place, or close to it. I found the mark on dry land doing the grind thing with a group of pals. I snuck up and attacked him without his knowledge. He was decent, but not great and made a of fight out of it. The 1st time I incapped him, I was about 60m out and couldn't get there in time to deal out the deathblow. He woke up, healed and hopped in his friend's AB-1. I hopped on my faster swoop and paced them towards what looked like a huge lake in the overhead. Knowing that my swoop was faster, I got within 20m just as they started to hit the water, so I hit /dismount and KD'd the Jedi out of the speed at the same time. It worked GREAT! He fell out, into the water, and could not defend himself while I pummled him. Unfortunatley his friend circled around and picked him up again. I hopped back on my swoop and gave chase, getting him out of the speeder around these small islands and waste high water.

Then it got wierd. I was STANDING in water, but it said I couldn't attack. Well he couldn't either, so not too bad. He decided to make a fight out of it, even though I had incapped him once already and almost a second time. I had to run around from spot to spot trying to find good places that I could attack from. LOTS of terrain bugs in this area, I know exactly what you are talking about! About 20 minutes later, I finally got him incapped 3 more times, the final one final one killing him. It was a GREAT fight, but he had the gall to send me hate tells saying that I was picking on him, exploited the terrain bugs in the area, etc. I thought it was a long fun fight as well, it's really a great area to have a fight in becuase it's just not what we are used to. We can actually use the terrain to our advantage there/
