There is an ability with the new CH upgrade called Imperiling Feint, that will reduce an enemy's Defense, but not their Armor. While this might seem tempting (and it's possible to get an L3 version of that ability on a CL10 pet, god forbid CH's have something to sell that you might want..) I'd say avoid going CH if at all possible.

It's not a gung-ho kinda profession.

on god no, i wouldnt go CH just for armor breaking pets , but i wonder how viable a pet thats CL10 with this ability will be to fight alongside against a jedi , if a jedi can kill the pet in 2-3 hits then it not really worth having such pet , but if the pet can hold its own in a 5-10min fight they i think they can be very valuable

Even if you had a CL70 pet, it would die to a jedi (or even a regular player) in a couple of hits. A 5-10 minute fight is wishful thinking for us CH's. However, the idea of putting that on a CL10 is something I'll try sometime. Usually, in PvP, people ignore the pet and go for the owner as it's the main threat, or they just hit the pet (knowing it'll die quick) and take it totally out of the fight. Either way you could get the ability to go once or twice, and it might be worth it.

I've been looking to aquire one of these just to see how it works, but for the time being I'm wondering whether I'm going to be using it in most situations. You see, I have an astromech with 110 med rating (might want to get an MSE one now that I thinking about it). Because I've been lazy, I don't have any healing effeciency BE clothes on me (will fix today. I mean, I *do* have a master tailor characater...). But having that droid out and in range adds approximetely 300 points to my bacta shot, from 600 to 900.

Havn't used him in a jedi fight, but he did get to stand around when I was overt in Bestine. None of the imps thought of touching the droid while they tried to kill us, and as long as I circled it, well, extra heals for me. I wonder whether a droid adding to healing power would be more valuable than a defense lowering pet?
