I thought I had the coolest template: MBH, Carbs 0400 for the leg shot, and doc 4004 for healing and self buffing, and the rest I put into carbs too- don't remember which tree... I used my token for it (was MBH MSmugg before) and when I was all done, I was so proud of my plan until I look up and I'm... lvl 76.. AHHHHHHHH stupid - so here's my question, does anyone know how to calculate what level you will be with a given template? Other than the obvious master two proffesions equals 80. Thank you for your help.

If you like the template, don't worry about it too much. If it were me, though, I'd drop any of the doctor skills that give me abilities I could get from an AFK doc and invest in more weapons.

until this point I had been relying on the afk docs for that, but the combat speed buff always runs out by the time I get to my mark (or nearly runs out). That's guaranteed if he's on Dath... lol

combat speed buff really isn't very helpful I've found, and I don't have any SEAs either.

According to the SWG Total Experience Guide from Prima, which includes the CU, your CL is more determined, not so much by what skills you have (althought that does play a factor) but also by the number of actual combat experience points you have accumulated.

It says:

"How isCL calculated? Basically any xp that you spend to improve a combat profession are also counted toward your CL. When you spend 1000 XP to reach Brawler: Unarmed I, that same 1000 XP is counted toward your CL. If that's the first profession step you take, it raises your CL from 1 to 2 (with 500 CL XP) and gets you halfway to CL 3 (which takes another 1000 CL XP)."

"There are a few exceptions. It takes a lot more work to earn experience toward professional advancement in a few combat professions, so the XP you spend in those prefoessions counts double, or even more, toward your CL."

I won't give the whole list, but basically it breaks down like this:

BH (Investigation) XP X35

General Combat XP (lots of professions) X3

Scout XP (but not from trapping) X2

Specific Combat XP (TK, Pistols, Carbines, Brawler, etc.) X1

Any Medic type XP, CH, Scout Trapping X1

All other professions X0!!!! (Aww, not entertainer multiplyer!)

On page 138 - 139 is a Combat Level Chart.

The CL XP is the number of XP you need to advance, while the Total CL XP is the accumulated total over the life of your toon. Extra HP should be self-explanatory, or you need to be in another profession.

How accurate this is, I don't know. But it says the following, in part (don't want to violate any copyrights, eh?)

CL CL XP Total CL XP Extra HP

7510,989,650 294,904,242 1760

76 11,238,650 306,142,892 1800

77 11,438,650 317,587,542 1840

78 11,638,650 329,220,192 1880

79 11,838,650 341,058,842 1920

80 12,058,650 353,097,492 1960

81 12,238,650 365,336,142 2000

I beseech the forum mods in the hope that I have not overstepped any bounds. I did not print anywhere near complete lists, I provided the source, and told everyone where to go to find it for themselves.

Not very accurate if it lists a level 81.

Well, yeah, they are off on some of their stats.

It includes the CU and was published concurrent with the software release, so I imagine some of the stuff changed between printing and software release.

Who knows, maybe there originally was a CL81?

But, it gives a rough guideline anyway.

ive done some calculations with that table. if it truely went by xp nobody would be over lvl 60. i think it said u would have lvl 54 with 2 master professions. That doesnt seem very accurate to me
