I. Who to hunt, How, and what is it worth?

Bounty hunters have long been feared thru out the galaxy. Those of us who read the books and religiously studied Star Wars Lore know that Bounty Hunters were feared by EVERYONE! Smugglers, business men, thugs, crime lords, glitter bitters, Imperial Moffs... Everyone. They did not only hunt Jedi. So Bounty Hunters would be hated by everyone as well.

How could this be implemented into the game. BHs gain the ability to hunt anyone. Under certain conditions. If a player, say a rebel kills a high ranking Imperial, then the Empire would hire Imperial Bounty Hunters to hunt this "Rebel Scum" down. Or say a Jedi Is seen in coronet waving his glow bat around. He would immediately get a BH tef... All BHs in the area could attack him and collect his Bounty for the Empire.

The rewards from Bounties should be alittle more then Monetary, or property. With each Kill or lose a BH should gain respect or disrespect. Respect should offer you chances to get higher LVL targets, which offers more money. Disrespect makes it harder to find missions and less monetary rewards. I suggest giving each Bounty 3 types of rewards which the BH can chose from. Monetary, Property and Respect. Property could equate into supplies such as caples for mando binders or power packs for blasters (P-up) If a BH kills a faction bounty he gains only faction from his faction.

Here is a point most ppl won't like but I'm going to make it anyway becuase it needs to be said. I think Tracking droids shoudl be removed from Player and high lvl NPC. A BH should have to use his own skill to track his target. He should have to study his target and find out everyhting about them. As people are creatures of habit it shouldn't be to hard to find them If you study and learn your mark. You are bounty HUNTERS after all.

II. Whats the Advanced Part of this?

Advanced LVL Bounty Hunters like Fett, were good because they had the right equipment and good skills. This should be true about BHs in SWG as well.

The ELITE part of BHs should be a new set of skills to poolskill points into. Similar to Jedi this would be a form of Alpha Class. But I think it would be much much much more fun then grinding 2-3 months to get master Lightsabers. The New Skills would be unlocked once you achieved Master Bounty Hunter. Similar to the Jedi FS unlock, you get a quest that starts.

An old Bounty Hunter who is retiring and wants to train you to take his place appears and converses with you. He tells you his story and asks you to complete a few "chores" These chores are specific tasks like kill 2 player bounties and 6 NCPs. Each Chore becomes extremely difficult and time consuming. But Each Line is worth it though. To make this a real SKILL involved profession, each task will have a time limit.

III. Skill Blocks.

Each Skill block would cost a certain amount of SP. But still give you enough to pick up MBH + another RANGEDElite Profession. Each block costing 1SP. With 26 Blocks. 6 Lines for a tree of 6x4, with novice and master blocks.

Novice.

This Block will give you some additional Mods for Speed, Defence, Acc, and tracking.

Each line would Support a specific cause. Each Line would add some form of skill or effect.

Line one: Mandolorian Weapons.

Mando Weapons will give you access to use specific Mando Weapons. Heavy Blasters, Arm Darts, Missile launchers, Grenade Launchers, Mando Binders (the weapon boba tied Luke up with and he used his LS to cut free also Jango used this to tie up Obi-Won) Each Giving specific effects and Dmg. (The Binders would be great for fighting anyone, but perhaps make these expensive weapons with RARE components...:smileyindifferent

Line Two: Explosives.

This line would concentrate on the Use of Bomb droids and other types of Explosives. Each type giving off its own Effect. Perhaps EMP that Prevents Jedi from using their Lightsabers for an amount of time. (20-30seconds at the most... Come on that�s along time in PVP) others that add root there target. Maybe one that poisons a target. Perhaps one that will not allow a Jedi to Cloak and Run. This Would Make you into a REAL PYRO

Line Three: Long ranged Weapons.

This Line focuses on Rifles. It gives you perhaps a few Skills and Some new Rifle Certs.

Line Four: Short Range Weapons.

This Line focuses on Pistols. It gives you perhaps a few Skills and Some newPistol Certs.

Line Five: Medium Range Weapons.

This Line focuses on Carbines. It gives you perhaps a few Skills and Some newCarbine Certs.

Line 6: Bounty Hunter Pay Out.

This Line is very important for increasing BHs payouts. As Bounty Hunters got better at killing or capturing their targets they earned more respect / fear and money. This would add small yet accumulative Modifiers to Bounty Pay outs, or Bonuses. Similar to Entertainer buffs you contractor would pay you the agreed amount and slip a bonus on top. The entire Line could add up to a 20% Bonus on Bounties.

Master Advanced Bounty Hunter.

Master would have to encompass all lines. Focusing them together for the perfect assassin Proff.

IIII. Quests.

The Quests for Gaining blocks should very difficult and a real challenge. Not just grinding out30,000,000 XP and callingit hard, any idiot can do that, some while they sleep apparently!

To do each quest you "master" should give you a specific task and a time limit to complete it in. This will encourage players to be really skilled and not just bored with nothing else to do. If a Quest is either failed or not completed in a specific amount of time. You need to re do it and possibly another quest to make up for your mistake. Quests can be done in groups and Solo.

IIIII. Post Mastery.

After Becoming a Master, You will be a real Bounty Hunter. Huntingbounties that have done wrong to others and have bounties out on them from those seeking retribution. You Skills will make you adept a quick strikes for a clean kill. (Not necessarily an honourable one though ) Unfortunately you won't be able to take part in FS grinding or any of that nonsense... Cuz you're Hunting Bounties! Why waste your time with that when you can kill bounties!
