Thread: Jedi vs BH Thoughts

After reading about the proposed changes for publish #20 and the comments regarding it, especially among the BH and Jedi professions, I would like to put in my 2 cents. First of all, I can see some of the logic about not having names on the terminals. After all if a personal sees a Jedi using her power I don’t think they are going to run up and ask for their name. So this, in and of itself, I don’t find disturbing, as long as we have the investigative tools to be able to determine the Jedi’s identity at some point.
What is most disturbing about the BH vs Jedi debate is that actions of certain Jedi. Hey guys Jedi are outlawed by the Empire. Jedi are hated by the Empire. Jedi are to be killed by the decree of the Empire. I really feel that a Jedi stupid enough to be flashing a lightsaber at a starport should be allowed to be attacked by ANY BH. You go public like that, you paint a neon sign over your head that says “Kill me if you can”. You shouldn’t even have to go to a terminal to pull a mission from a person like that. You should be able to carry out the Emperor’s wishes and be paid a bounty if successful – plain and simple. That Jedi revealed herself. That Jedi should be attacked in order to comply with the Emperor’s wishes. This would solve the AFK grinding on Wookie World. The Emperor has heard that there are large numbers of Jedi on Wookie World – an order is issued – BH have open bounties at xxxK per kill. BH go to the trails and start killing. Wookie World grinding eliminated or certainly slowed. Besides, Jedi killing Wookies to advance! Nice going protectors of freedom.
If a person wants to become a Jedi a big warning should pop-up – ARE YOU SURE? Selecting this profession will cause you to be hated and despised by the Empire. You will be hunted down and killed if possible. In order to survive you must remain hidden and use your awesome powers with discretion. Is this the life you want to live?
Lets do some role playing here! Jedi are in hiding and to be hunted down. BH are the Emperor's tools to hunt down Jedi. Each of these professions should know the dangers, risks and rewards of playing them.
