Thread: Grinding the Investigation line (/cry)

Hey all,

I'm doing BH the old-fashioned way, grinding it out. Currently I'm 1/4/4/4. I saved the invest line for last (based in part on tips I read in this forum). Anyway, on to my question:

Is there a faster way of getting through this line? I'm finding that I'm averaging about 370 BH XP per mission, which means that it will take me about 13 missions to finish Invest II. Each mission is taking between 20 to 30 minutes to complete, mainly because of the down time involved (waiting for my arakyd's and seekers to report back). Someone once mentioned to me a better way of getting BH XP, but I can't remember the details. It had something to do with hacking Imp stations, or something similar. Can anyone shed any additional information on this?

Any general Investigation grinding tips would also be most welcomed.

Thanks in advance!

I pity anyone who cannot grind Investigation :-)

I'm the most impatient person around and if I can do it you can too - Bounty Hunter is a patience requiring profession.

Except for all those n00bs that Respec'd - they should all die.... and will...

Thats pretty much the way you do it. As far as gaining it faster you need to find opposing bases uplink terminals when they are vulnerable and jam them, you will get 1K of BH invest exp for each one you jam. The vulnerable time is 1 hour per day ( or atleast it used to be )

The way I did it was I grinded Inv I until I had enough XP for Invest III. All the marks at Inv I are on the same planet. It isnt as much xp, but it goes really fast, and you can fly through the missions.

Oh yea, and the bases are worth 1000pts.

Okay...if you insist on grinding INV XP through missions...I HIGHLY suggest you cap out your INV XP BEFORE training in INV II. The missions are much easier to do in C-Net. There are BH terminals as well as a spy net Op RIGHT next to eachother. Since your not training in INV II, all missions will stay on the planet and pretty close to town. Train through INV II, and start with INV III after you have capped INV XP. Then continue with INV III....there isn't much help for you after that. You just, kind of, have to do it.

While I admire your effort, you should also be aware that many NPC Faction bases will award 1000 INV XP for slicing bases. It's a quick game of "high/low" and only requires you to go combatant.

I did it the old style way and it was only a 20% chance the mark would even spawn, without speeders, blah, blah, blah...

Like I said, I admire it, but given the current status of things *whispers* just go slice some bases
