Hi. Long time lurker, first time poster. I've been reading these boards for a while, and I've seen some good advice, so I thought I'd ask about this weird thing that happened to me on one of my first jedi hunts.

I found my mark hunting with friends on Dant. After watching awhile, I saw my chance and grabbed it,but she ran. I gave chase, but she ran in to a nearby house. As I was getting ready to lay down, cover and wait her out, my screen said something to the effect of:

You have slain your foe, (jedi name). Because of your valor, your PVP rating is adjusted to 1162

Mission Incomplete

Huh?

I certainly didn't slay her, though I had every intention of doing so when she came out of that house. I checked my d-pad, and sure 'nuff, the mission was gone.No money, no xp, no nuthin.

Any idea what happened?

Well it did say mission INCOMPLETE ... just a thought but im not sure

What you guys are saying doesnt make sense though. even if a jedi dies, UNLESS IT IS TO ANOTHER BH with their mission, the mission does not go incomplete.

Now, if the person did happen to have a BH alt who had their mission and then killed themself while inside the house... that could explain why you got the pvp rating and mission incomplete. But if a jedi did this... they are retarded because their jedi still lost xp.

Sounds like a "camped" mission to me. Friend/guildie/alt holding the mission, and the Jedi let the friend/guildie/alt get the kill. They probably split the cash, laughed at you, and cleared the Jedi's visibility for our shiny new bounty system.

what likely happened was you damaged the jedi (Thus ensuring you get PVP raiting when they die). And they ran into the house. dueled a friend or alt and died. Or at least thats the only explanation Ican think of. Because in mass PVP I get alot of stuff like that. I'll have hit some one who buggers off. Switch targets and say.. 5 minutes later into the battle. Suddely get a message that I kileld so an so. When I'm still blazing away at a very much alive target.

what happened is your jedi got one of her friends to kill him/her for a free trip to the cloner. of course that yelds no xp loss.

because you took a couple of pot shots before said jedi valiantly ran away you were considered to have taken part in his/her death, that's why you got a lift in the pvp rank.
