Umm i hear quite a bit about the best version of leg shot hitting for very nice damage. Well i never hear about the best version of say head shot, i mean i personally like it, but should i switch to carbines. If leg shot has more damage potential then head shot ill be sure to go carbineer otherwise whats wrong with rifleman's headshot?

Imp Leg Shot does the same damage as Adv Critical Shot, but without the chance for the crit hit.

Here is the difference

Adv critical: damage x1.9 speed x 1.7 (15% critical hit chance)

I. Head shot: damage x 1.8 speed x 1.6 (-25% to hit chance)

I leg shot: damage x 1.9 speed x 1.6( -25% to hitchance)

Leg shot is the best damage to time shot out of the three...

However I never use it against jedi. becuase the -25% when fighting a defender... means you will miss this shot more then you hit.

However for pve... it is a good shot

The highest Energy resist Battle Armor can have is about 7200. Compared to the 8200 or so that Recon can have it can appear to be considerably weaker but in actual implementation the difference is negligable. You only see a further reduction of 2-3% when wearing Recon over the Battle Armor.

Also use imp charge shot over underhanded shot unless you are kneeling or prone, it does more than twice the damage. I like having underhand around when charge misses. Another thing to remember; Charge shot has a forward moving animation so it can gain you some ground when rooted. Imp leg shot, advanced crit, imp charge shot, to imp leg shot, adv crit can lay a serious hurt on something.

Excellent advice..... I'd like to also add that you can direction your movement (using arrow keys)while using charge shot.... so you can actually use it to help gain distance from a Jedi if you both happen to be Rooted (happens once in a while against Enhancer Jedi)

Yep, andI make sure I am in motion away from a creature when I fire it off when kiting, completely defeats the usual forward motion at the target. I use First person shooter as my keymap with chase cam off. I love it for PvP and PvE.

Does teh same amount of damage as a crit hit but with less cool down.. I run with a 830 dps Carbine, and use that as my Default attack. I throw crit in as a manual attack. So far, with a Underhand shot, then hit crit attack, I can get all three off before the target gets up doing some nice right off the bat damage.
