Wrote a post here a while ago about how I was trying a new game due to the fact that I couldn't really be a BH in SWG. Well 3 months later I'm impressed with EVE-online, being a BH is a viable option and you can put bounties upon criminals heads. Very little lag and everyone plays on one server, if you're interested in being a real BH and not just a Jedi hunter give it a look. Also you can actually pvp in EVE rather than the carebear enviroment that forced me out of SWG.

Well hope to see some of you guys soon, in EVE.

It's called EVE-online, there is only 1 server with about 5,000 solar systems and upto 16,000 players on at any one time. You don't have a body as in SWG but a portrait, your "body" is substituted for which spaceship you're flying at the time. If you remember the game "elite" it would give you an idea of what it's about. Also there is no grinding for skills, you set skills to train and it gives you an eta on when it will finish training. Wether on or offline the skill will continue to train, but you can only train 1 at a time. Also grouping isn't forced and PVP is a very large and important part of the game. You can actually smuggle contraband and be chased down by the authorities, or actually hunt a player for thier bounty or place a bounty on another players head. Goto thier web site for more info, I would reccomend other BH try it I did and prefer it to having a title but no real purpose or way to implement it in SWG.

If you arent into realy hardcore PvP then EVE is a horrible game to play.

Kinda imagine if you are a jedi padawan, and every BH can kill you for a bounty without having your mission, and they camp every starport....that sums up EVE pretty much, unless they drasticaly changed the PvP rules.

Well it is possibile to avoid PvP, staying in high security system close to the space filth helps. However sooner or later your going to get attacked usually by venturing into dangerous space where the police don't patrol, but yes you need to enjoy PvP that's why I thought other BH would be interested.

Are there LoS bugs, and TEF problems? If not, I just might give it a try

I don't know what a LoS bug is but there are absoloutly no TEF problems as you don't have TEFs for the most part. The only circumstance where there is a TEF is if you fire on someone then you're TEFed to the police for 20 minutes. Unless the person you fire on is a criminal with low security status or they're in a corporation that your corporation is currently at war with. Players don't need a TEF to attack another player, nor do you need permission, nor do you need a mission to collect thier bounty. Also a Corporation (guild) may declare war on another Corporation without "permission" first, in short death to carebears!

How would a Bounty Hunter in EVE, know who to hunt if the BH doesnt have some sort of mission to tell him/her who to hunt?

You can access a most wanted list at every station, take thier names down and put them on your friends list. Also EVE has agents some will tell you the last station that the player name you typed in docked at. Also you get a local chat room for each solar system so you can tell if he/she is in there, the bounty will also have a skull and cross bones tag on thier ship when/if you find it. No mission is needed you just need to destroy the ship then the pod (capsule the player is in), then you automaticaly get the bounty credited to your account.
