Thread: Give Jedis a chance (faction wise)

Hey guys, just started thinking about this last night, Why dont when we pick up a jedi mission, after we do the /findfriend command to see if they are even on, give them the choice to tell us there faction. The /tell would look something like this
/tell jedi Hello,im thinking about hunting you. But, i might not have to hunt you depending on your faction. If you reply back with a tell, you will have 1 out of 2 chance that i wont hunt you, as i could be Imp or Rebel. If you do not reply back within a minute, i will start hunting you, and determin you are either afk or dont want to tell me your faction. Thank you
What do you guys think? does this sound corny? im going to try it today on a jedi, see how it goes. I mean, what the heck, why not give them the chance to give us there faction (of course, they could say the opposite faction they are or whatever) but why not give this a try?
Tell me what you guys think, im open to flames, i just wanna here a response.

Maybe its just me, but I never send tells to my marks before I engage them. All that does is let them know they are being hunted possibly, and will take all the necessary precautions. Including simply loging off. However I never hunt members of my own faction either.
If I show up, and they are a member of my faction. I make note of it, let them know they are on the terms, and thier Bounty. Then go get another. Finding another Jedi to hunt is not a problem. They are quite abundant. Finding another Jedi that is NOT on Kashyyk can be though lol.

sorry but i dont think thats good because there are ALOT more imp then reb and if every one did that then all of the jedis would switch to the imp and then all players would be imp and we would not even need a war.... if u r imp then that is dumb but if u r rebel then it is not as bad because if u ask them they most likely say they r imp

1) All Jedi are enemies to The Empire, weather or not they carry an Imperial tag.
2) All Marks are aquisitions, not people. We've all heard this quoted from The Creed before eh.
3) I also never send a tell to my mark before I engage them. I don't want them to go and run and hide in a house or log off on me now do I?

jedi runs in a safe house and logs out or waits for u to come then just sits in there house till u leave

This is probably the stupidest thing to do. I *AM* an imperial (on leave), but i will still hunt other imperialsl. Its exp and $$ for me, and its a mission. Faction rank doesn't matter to me. Besides, most BH are nuetral, so you're theory wouldn't apply.
And a side note, (that everyone else already told you)...dont send tells to the jedi you hunt. Think about it, who would stay online or out in the open if you "tell" them you are hunting them. I sure wouldn't.

I agree totaly. If you tell them than they just watch for you. I rely on sneaking by using some tag such as mercenarys to give me a few seconds to prepare than enage. If they know my name they just bring a house were ever they go. Imperial or Rebel there just light stick weilding meat bags that give money. (heh meat bag is a joke if you didn catch that just think KOTOR)
