Thread: I took a peek over in the Jedi forums and is it me or...
I just see (a few...not all) Jedi coming over here and started posts that are meant to put down our profession. It's not a glamorous and not easy and I wouldn't want it that way.
Why are you trolls coming over here, you now have it easier with this new publish? Your numbers are the highest they've ever been and continue to grow. I'm not saying SWG has to follow the exact timeline of the game but come on man!? What are you guys thinking?
I'm no longer going to refer to this game as Star Wars Galaxies...Jedi Academy - Online or Kotor - Online. I see Jedi parked in major starports sitting away waiting to be killed and laughing at this game. They're laughing at you but soon they'll start cancelling their account because they'll be bored.
BH balance things out and be nerfing them you are cheating players out of a fun game and cheating yourselves from a steady paycheck. This problem started long long time ago and someone made a bad decision.
Jedi should be limited to a handful per server!!! And BH content should include not only JEDI or NPC's but other playing characters as well. Yes I have a Smuggler on another server and am for that option (and more). Example: I've been up in space and blasted so many vessels of all types "without" consequence, I'd think twice if a BH would be on my as if I did this. The same situation should in some ways apply to the ground game...where is the order and control in the game where is the law?
Thanks for reading my rant...it started off one way and grew!

I realize the BH community is really sorta feeling like they got punched in the gut with pub20, and maybe you did. But whether you know it or not, this pub is probably shaking the Jedi community more than most have imagined it would. Why do I say this? A LOT of full temp Jedi who aren't used to seeing BHs show up got visited yesterday. And probably to both their and their attacker's surprise, a lot of them got corpsed. I personally know of 3 full temps who got killed yesterday. These are people who thought they were immune to attack, and who roamed the server with impunity, assuming no one would dare take their missions. Thats probably going to start changing now, and you can prolly expect that the immature will start coming to the boards and whining/trash-talking about it. Its just normal. Not an excuse, really, just an explanation.

It's proving that the "1.5" superiority is a myth. Jedi believed it. Many BH's believed it. So, not too many full temps got hunted.
Now that people don't know any better they're seeing the truth. Full temp ain't all that.

Yep. If anything, this pub should go a long way to making people rethink all that.
3 full temp jedi, all with different templates. 5 BH visits among them (possibly 6, not certain), and 3 Jedi deaths as a result. Thats pretty good numbers on the BHs side, I'd say.

look again. there are plenty of bounty hunters posting in the jedi forums. but i do agree with you that the hate between the two professions should slow. i also believe that with publish 20, much of that hate will in fact begin to fade as bounty hunters no longer target only weak jedi, and all jedi realize that as long as they get themselves on the terminals...they will be hunted by the most determied, skilled and well equipped bounty hunters on their respective servers.
many bounty hunters will drop the profession, leaving the best of the best to hunt and kill jedi

i have to disagree with you. we do NOT have it easier now. i had three bounty hunters come after me in a single evening. haven't had a visit in a long time, and now i get three in one night. i almost felt like an 80k Padawan again (excepting of course that the outcome of these fights was quite different than when i was an 80k paddie)

people will leave every game. new people will join. people who don't know how it 'was' people who will have no idea of the days of bottom feeding, griefing, andgank squads. these new people will replace the old...that is how the cycle goes with every game. nothing to worry about.

i'm sorry but i don't understand what youwere trying to sayhere.

you cannot limit the number of jedi per server. what right to*I* gain to have a jedi when player B pays just as much as i do per month for the game. playerBhas earned EVERY SINGLE opportunity that i have earned by paying his or her monthly subscription fee.
i agreethat bounty hunter should include moreplayer content. a long time ago they talked about players being able to take out bounties on one another. clearly griefing was a concern, but now with names removed from the terminals, the idea should be entertained once again!

How good were the full temp Jedi? Just curious because we had 3 BH encounters last night. First one was a reknowned and extremely annoying BH on a guildie. result: BH corpsed. second was a promising up and coming bh jumped me on my way home to logout. Result: BH corpsed. the third was a followon attack on my guildie. Result: drawn out battle that ended up in a stalemate/escape. With all the loving going on i decided to stay up a few hours more and see if more would come- unfortunately none did. Now we could just have had a streak of good luck and not drawn really hostile agile BHers but I'm thinking in the end a full temp will win more than he loses- as it should be as long he uses his skills intelligently.
I'm not a awesome Pvper and I dont have an uber saber but i'm anxiously anticipating more frequent BH encounters to see for myself where the balance really lies.
The problem I see now is Jedi feel rewarded from publish 20. As if they "earned" it.

They most certainly can limit the number of Jedi per server. You don't have a 'right' to anything but access to the game for payingthe monthly fee. The sense of entitlement is one problem with MMOGs... just because you pay to play doesn't mean you get what you want.

One of the Jedi involved I'd consider a less-than-veteran PvPer (saying it as nicely as I can, 'case he's reading this
Still tho, full temp Jedi being unkillable is a myth that I think will get much more discredited over the next several weeks.
