Boy, how's that feel on the other foot?

Feel? anyone using glitches in the game to get one up on someone else is using a flaw/bug/glitch - which is an exploit. Using any exploit, no matter if you think it's fair or not because others are doing it, doesn't make it right or not.

Of course something passing through a wall in a locked house is a glitch. using this glitch is considered an exploit.

Question for you killa's from a jedi (yea I know bare with me please)

Last night I was in my home (private structure) an about to logout, then all of a sudden the next thing I know Im hovering 10m over my porch outside with a BH/Pistoleer tearing into me. Needless to say as I was litterally, in the middle of a logout I all but messed myself when this happened...

My question is this, do BH have some form of ejection now? How does it work?

I was of the understanding that I had to have TEF an that would only keep me from going into a structure, never thought we would get a eject. In all honesty, being a former BH, I think Im actually happy to see that BH can eject jedi from structures now, an the fact that it happened to me doesn't bother me more than not knowing how to do it when I play my alt eheh... Thanks in advance!

If you are within bomb droid range or have a pet or bike outside they can attack, then yes you get tef'd outside the structure.

This is working as intended and is a good thing.

You probably slid out, it happens all the time when you sit in a structure.

Next time, try to go in the basement, or very top floor to log out. I've found those places don't slide you out as much.

A bomb droid coming into your house shouldn't happen, butbecause the BH is exploting the fact that droids or animals do not care about walls or privacy.

Normally, you should not be targetable inside your structure.

So, to combat this, just make some crystal packs with your exact game name and sprinkle them around the house, this will mess up the targeting.

Oh yea, again I don't mind (and sort of like) the /eject thing...

Problem is... He did not have me targeted when I entered, I had no pets or vehicles pulled outside. So this roughneck rolls up outta the blue to my private home, an somehow /ejects me. I just assumed it was a new feature that came with the TEF haha, Im wondering if he had to send a bomb droid in to TEF me, or can you?

Just curious how it worked, was a great fight so Im happy it happened, just concerned now if I need to /logout, instead of /afk in my house when I need a break.

Ahh so a droid you think?

I don't want to make crystals or packs with my name on it, that's just silly... Again I didn't mind being ejected had I known he was outside an paying attention I would have went out to fight eheh... Im just more puzzled than anything... Droid I can see I guess

My guess would be a droid. As others have mentioned, the droid doesn't have to enter your house, you just have to be within the blast radius. Same would go for if the BH uses an AOE on a mob that's between you and him. Do you remember of taking damage before you were ejected or almost instantly after being ejected? Or was there a momentary pause between ejection and damage? If there was a pause, I'd blame it on a butt-scoot (aka "rubber banding" or "slide").

I'm not sure if either method of attack would be considered an exploit. This was ages ago, but the bomb tactic was a means of getting roof-top macro'ers out of their homes and I think was suggestedfor use toTanks by the Devs. Even if so, times change so I'm not really sure.

Either way, I know you died anyhow but at least you were at the keyboard. Be mindful of butt-scoots and always log out instead of going AFK (and be prepared for combat as you log).

I've sent droids into houses before, but I've never had the explosion boot the Jedi as a result. But I have rubberbanded out of my own house before.

Someone also told me that the "droid detectors" you see in some buildings are NOT just for show, and will keep the droids out. But I have no idea if this is actually the case. I can tell you that droids sometimes get inside the building where a mark is hiding, and sometimes they seem to get stuck at the door.

This should be changed as of P 20. Previously when a droid would cause damage, the Jedi would not eject because he had to damage you back to get a TEF. Now the TEF is applied to both parties if either takes damage.

Never confirmed or unconfirmed the detector thing, but sounds too much like a myth.
