Thread: SEPARATE THE MEN FROM THE BOYS MENTALITY: Please drop that argument

As of yesterday I actually started doing Jedi missions once again after not doing any since the CU went live, I got sick of those newbies asking where to buy seeker/arakyds and how to use them, hell some even thought arakyds were BOMB droids, causing me to drop the "Master Bounty Hunter" title and go among my business with guild events, PVP, PVE & quests on Kash. But now those "respec" BHs has noticably quieted down (nobody in my favorite mission acquisition spot anymore), I feel like I'm back in business and won't have to deal with tells like "did you respec to BH?" and "are you here to kill me?" crap.

Yeah, only really good BHers who want to expend the effort to deal with the serious pains of this new system will hang around. You are correct. How are people saying that this is a good thing? Are you serious? Do we really just want a few elite Bounty Hunters running around (Jedi don't answer that ?

I've have already lost 5 good BH friends, who were generally good Bounty Hunters, that could have probably gotten some kills in this new system (full temp included). Many BH guilds will be disbanded and/or greatly struggle with the update of this patch. A lot of good, fun people will leave the profession or the game entirely. It is not about "manning up or growing balls." It is about enjoying your profession and most are not going to enjoy this profession any longer. They understand how big of a disasster this is for the Bounty Hunter community. Believe it or not, some BH like to hunt just for fun and don't try to be the most elite bounty hunter on the server.

What would happen if SWG decided to make it so that only the most elite Jedi would surviveand prosper?Would we be making posts that say "Separate the Men From the Boys?" I don't think so.

Why? Because it's harder to get a group together to go gank jedi? That's the major difference here. You can still get a jedi mission. You can still track and hunt that jedi. Oh, you don't know what level they are? Awwww, if that's your complaint, then you were a bottom-feeder to start. If you weren't and hunted full-templates, then this shouldn't be an issue at all.

Now are there currently bugs with showing the right missions on the terminals? Yes and that makes it a pain right now, but this isn't the first time a profession has had bugs and had to learn to deal with it. Some have been bugged for months on end, major bugs (bio engineer tissues) but they still keep going.

No, we won't drop the "men from the boys" argument because it basically explains the issue here. Those bh that could only hack it by grouping with others to take out even low-level marks have now quit as they don't like getting sent to the cloner. Those bh that have done their homework and learned combat from the ground up so as to use that knowledge to hunt and defeat their opponent will continue to do so even in this system.

For the "Men", the only thing that is different is we don't choose our mark, our boss does, he just doesn't feel like telling us who it is anymore. But for what he's paying me, I don't care. Which is as it should be.

Might as well drop it pal, you aren't going to get much sympathy here other than from the other bottom-feeders.

Man alive i'm shat at PvP, keep getting my ass handed to me, but bolox if I'm giving up MBH, I'm determined to see this through. I'm not gonna let the bugs, exploits and kashyyyk or the DEV's who continually ignore these game breaking issues get me down. I know once I get my 1st high level kill that I will have deserved it and many more will follow.
So to you all n00b or veteran keep your head high, take no shat from Jedi or their munchkin friends, your day is coming.

Think about the positives too, new jedi guilds will form, jedi who where thinking of quitting will stay, more people will become jedi, and more jedi will enjoy their profession.
