Thread: i fear post publish 20 Bounty Hunters

no i am not being sarcastic, i am being totaly honest. this is a make or break publish for many Bounty Hunters. those who took the profession to 'pwn' low level padawan with +Root+ Headshot Headshot Headshot Headshot, will fall by the wayside. those who do not have the skill or determination to Bounty HUNT a Jedi mark, those without the attention span to spend more than 20 minutes looking for thier prey will quit the profession.
you know who that leaves?
the REALLY SCARY Bounty Hunters. the Hunters with the skill to take out a Full Template Jedi solo more often than not. the Hunters you always HOPE don't pick your misson.
Post Publish 20...when i hear that music and know i have been agroed...THAT is going to be terrifying

But at least you will know who is attacking you with auto-target....unless of course the "insert grinding creature here" keeps hitting you more then I do.

No worrys...
Even most of the Real BH as you say will get sick of the new system and fall off..
We dont even need driods now..Grab a online mission and head to the Webweaver Trails..After up20 it will still be the same we'll just have to thumb threw the targets to find who where hunting and hope we get more than 50k for our efforts..

I am staying. I am determined to find a way to make this work. I do not look forward to getting my ass handed to me by Mdef, but I will keep trying till I beat them.

I'm gonna try to stick around too. I may leave not because of percieved nerfs, but because the BH vs. Jedi attitudes lately make me queezy.

Its a sad day to see these changes to BH.
My rule for missions was I only hunted knights. But I also hunted anyone with a dumb name, regardless of payout.
Now I will be forced to kill paddys. So far I am 12 solo full template knight kills, and 4 knight deaths.
Will be a rough time for the paddys on bria after this patch

rofl i LOVE this line
i don't have a Jedi on bria so i don't know how it works there, but on Bloodfin Padawan are the prime target of MOST (i did not say "ALL") of the full template CL 80 MBHs anyway, so it will not change for them much. the reasoning given is 'to slow the progress of Jedi' though some believe it is just the easy kill they are after.

LoL. dumb names did that once or twice.
But I think the OP is right. With group visibility gone the jedi on the terms should all be full templates. The only BH that will take player missions will be experienced BH with excellent equipment.
If it's just online jedi with visibility this might not change my hunting much. Should mostly be the overt at Theed type of jedi on the terms at any particular time, which is what I hunted anyways.

and another player who understands.
Publish 20 is NOT going to hurt, but help the Bounty Hunter vs. Jedi dynamic. YES it is going to be harder for Bounty Hunters...but as stated in my original post, and by others who understand, that is exactly what is going to improve the entire experience for both sides.
