I have had done just novice doc and 4000 CM on different toons before through respecs, with CM 4000 you get alot of healing efficiency (+65) especially for bacta shot plus you get bacta toss and spray. With novice doctor you get bacta jab which is more effient on mind but not early as effective as bacta shot is, best I was able to do with novice doctor's jab was bout 400-500 and you only have +35 healing effiency and with bacta shot you can do around 1200-1300. These are all of course without BE healing effiency clothes.

Also CM 4000 is cheaper on skillpoints than novice doctor is and you're missing out on extra melee/range defense if you go novice doc.

That's gotta be the biggest reason why. During respec I tried MBH/MCarb/CM 4xxx. I liked the rate at which I was able to heal up, but I hated that I lost so much def./acc. as compared to MBH/MCarb/NP x4x4.

One thing I've always like about BH's is that they're good with 2weapon types, and great at one they chooseto master. With the MBH/MCarb/CM 4xxx template I was only OK at 2 and good at 1.

hello ppl,

lately i see many BHs around with a 4xxx CM skill, tho im really wondering why ppl choose this before novice doc. Im currently MCM MBH and still have novice doc.

i use a lot of heals during fights, not only in PvP but also in PvE. so a decent ability to heal myself is definetly needed, just stims and ruby bliel would kill me.

but wot are ur benefits from choosing 4xxx CM? as i see it its pretty senseless as the benefits are on the novice doc side:

novice doc heals are as powerfull as the advanced heals from 4xxx CM, but they have lower cool downs and ( imo ) lesser action/mind costs.

further novice doc gives u a 10% buff, at least better then nothing if u cant find a MDoc around and just use food. also u can heal wounds, that might be not such a big deal anymore these days as collecting wounds is a real skill nowadays . but i like to be independent and its a nice support skill.

but maybe the most important benefits of novice doc heals for a BH is, that u can heal urself while running/moving/wotever,..... it will not disturb ur movements, while CM heals will stop all ur movements so an enemy may catch up with u and be able to KD or damage u.

this the reasons why i will keep novice doc, whenever i change my template ill keep this skill. tho it might be some1 of u teach me better, so wots the deal about the CM 4xxx?

any1?

Only Bacta Toss requires you to stand still, but the mind cost part is correct. Im MCM and when I was MBH MR I chose CM 0004 for the debuffs (healing wasnt what I really wanted but was a nice benefit)... but I do agree that CM 4000 Bounty Hunters could probably be better off with Novice Doc

Bring back the CU or at least Pre-CU... its better that this MMO Third Person Shooter bullcrap

well, the points in defenses might be a reason, but the cost of skill points isnt correct. if u just choose between CM 4xxx and novice doc then novice doc is cheaper as u just need one basic novice ( medic ) instead of two ( medic and marksman ). as in our cases ur a BH and have marksman anyway then novice doc costs the same ammount of skill points as CM ( two full trees, each 14 SP, one elite novice, 6 SP ).

the thing about the points in healing efficiency is also correct, tho the doc heals are more potent then the CM heals, with just bacta shot ( not improved, nor advanced ) i heal the same amount of dmg as with advanced bacta toss. bacta spray ( advanced ) does heal more then bacta jab ( novice doc ), but the timer on jab is far lower.

seems its a question of personal taste, ill prefer the novice doc as i find it more handy in pve and pvp then 4xxx CM...... and u need less grind to get it ( tho the xp isnt a great deal anymore these days )

Read this.

I said CM is cheaper since you already have ranged support 4 from marksman and is more effective than just having novice doctor. I'm really not sure what you were trying to say.
