Thread: Make Duelist Stance Instant Cast Sign here

Two non jedi defense modifiers are warm up timed and half the time dont fire even when you stand still. Duelist stance and COB should be made into instant cast like Jedi Aura. All I hear is balance this balance that. However, the jedi skill aura which adds 500 defense can be thrown on at will. Duelist stance and COB cannot be activated so easy. You must stop moving and wait for a warmup timer to finish (if it doesnt bug out and disappear).


I suggest Duelist stance and COB be made instance cast like Aura. Who is with me?

Duelist stance is so undependable against a jedi is almost a sad joke.

Honestly I don't see any difference with it on or off unless righting lowlevel NPC -but hey, might as well make it insta cast. Jedi get insta cast def buff, yet we're the ones that need to kite. sounds good to me.

the way i get the macro to stick is to fire it off several times.


I have a macro that sends me a tell 3 seconds before it goes.


/tell cada Duelist stance;


/pause 3;



after this make 4 lines of the duelist stance activating with 0.3 pauses inbetween.


One of them will stick. The 3 second wait allows you to not spam a combat move, and get still even with server lag before the Stance activates.


With this setup I havent had any problems with it sticking.

Bully for you, but tell me while those 3 seconds pass and you wait for your third times a charm, what is your jedi doing hmm,


Waiting for you to give the nod that it's worked, or has he or she got you down to near 3 thirds of your ham bar?

Tks have CoB as a warm-up with no-move because they're tanks and not supposed to move anyways. Bounty hunters are "intended" (group role icon) as tanks also. Duelist STANCE is a STANCE. You cant defend yourself with a STANCE while MOVING. I think the intention of making them no-move activation so you cant macro it. Unless they get rid of combat macros, these two abilities can stay as they are right now. No flame intended.

The macro overlaps. in otherwords the end timer is set so that it restarts the macro 3 seconds before the stance runs out.


Try it. you will see it works.

also make a master advanced line make it add 500 or 750, they could call it the oh so imaginitive advanced duelist stance

TKM COB is sameas duelist stance. You have to stop moving. Jedi defense buff is instant cast moving or not. No reason we should suffer from the warm up and move. Half the time the thing doesnt load up properly anyway. Just because it says stance doesnt mean they want you to stand in place. See WOW for warrior stances. If they want our defense buff to be restricted this bad yet allow jedi to pop 500 defense buffs anytime they need to change aura. While I am not calling for nerfs to aura I just think in all fairness COB and duelist stance should enjoy the same ability to instant cast like aura. Jedi are 1.5x normal and now BH missions are 1v1. Jedi instant cast aura while we suffer the delay and standing still while activating our defense buff. Our defensive buff is half that of aura. Balance balance balance..

A warm-up is cool with me, but if I stop moving typically it spells my doom, stance or not... I don't even really use this right now but I would love the addtional defense.
