I notice flamethrower and rocket launcher and so onwith heavy weapons, but where do you actually get these weapons??? is it only from people who craft and how often are they crafted?? also, if any body has played commando in beta, was the weapons worth it. im afraid of going through this profession andnot being able to get weapons or the weapons not being that good? thanks

There are quite a few other threads on this matter.

YOu get the weapons from a Master Weaponsmith. And currently, they are crap. I played a OCmmando at the end of beta, and lets just say my n00b pistol did better then my flame thrower.

Hi everybody....

I was just wondering if there are more weapons to work Two Hand skill besides the Heavy Axe? I see lots of 'swords' in the bazaar, but I dont know how to tell if they will skill Two Hand or one.

Also what kind of attibutes on the weapon are the most important to look for?

Currently there are mostly Heavy Axes. I ended up finding a weaponsmith on Gorath who can craft 2-Hand axes, but I ended up going back to a Heavy axe as the damage was better. I'm pretty positive the swords are 1-hand swords as they come pretty early in the ladder. I'm waiting for the 2-hand curved sword which I believe is tier 3 of the melee crafting tree.

As for qualities to look for:
- damage - pretty obvious, but also consider looking at average damage and not just max.
- speed - lower numbers are better here
- special cost - this is a huge one, basically how painful your special attacks will be. My first axe this was huge and I ended up basically killing myself.

Those are the main ones I look for.

Please list the good pikeman weapons and stats that would be considered top end for them... thx

I had a master weaponsmith tell me that lances are npc drop only, is this true?

Uuuhhhh on the bazaar you can click the yellow box next to weapons and it extends down and like a few down or so it says 2-handed melee weapons

and the rituals that fade away, and the roses that cease to be laid, and it's clear to me that we're one foot in a very shallow grave

So I just made Master Swordsman to compliment my Master Ranger. I'll pause a few seconds for the congrats.........

So now I'm looking for a good weapon. I have a decent scythe and a decent power hammer, but I'm looking for something stellar. A loot, or someone who makes really good weapons that can be sliced.

Anyone have any recomendations? A vender to see, or a type of npc to fight, for a chance at something good. Also, what is this scythe schematic I've heard about?

You should be able to buy yourelf a nice ACKLAY PH. This is a PH that is built using the looted bones dropped by Acklay in the GEO caves. It should have a max damage around 740ish. Expect to pay 5+mil.

Know your targets Resistances. PH = blast, Scythe = kinetic. Have a stun baton or something else non blast/kineticfor the odd thing with 100% blast and kin res.

The best thing you can do as a Swordsman is try to reach speed cap. You'll do more damage as a speed capped MS with a 630dam hammer than as a non speed capped swordsman with an 830dam hammer.

ofc, getting speed capped isnt easy. You'll need +25 Two Hand speed AAs/CAs, or +20 if also Master Brawler. There is also a +12% from Force Sensitive Melee speed. With that, you'll need a +3 or +4 CA. I'm still not 100% sure.

as for the scythe scheme..

there's a sticky up top, read that.

basically each person can do the Sword Quest twice [using the record keeping reset]. Prize is a scythe schematic. They sell for 700-1.1mil on my server.
