Thread: please help a noob bounty hunter
when you have the biological signature, you need to fire up an arkanoyd droid,NOT A SEEKER Droid. When you get the planet from the Arkanoys (or whatever its called), travel there and fire up a seeker droid...
If your next post begins with, Jedi is too overpowered, Im getting upset! ![]()
First of all, check out the BH guide in the stickies.
Second, you need to get some Arakyd droids. These do an interplanetary search and tell you which planet your mark is on. Then you can use a seeker on that planet to track your mark down accurately.

So, i shot right up that investigation tree and saved myself a lot of work. Here is my problem... (it's a really noob problem) I got a npc mission for like 30k and then i tried to use a droid, but it said i needed to talk to an informant so i talked to the jedi and he told me about the informant on naboo... that one by the starport in kadaara (or whatever that city is called). That guy gave me the biological signature and thats it. So then i told my droid to "Find Bounty Target" and i went to every planet and did that, but it didnt work. Im so confused. I didn't check kashyyk, what's the possibility of it being there? And is there another informant i need to talk to? And do i need to go to every planet in my hunt? Please help haha im such a noob, I didnt used to be though... i swear....Flame on.....
You need to launch an Arakyd (sp?) to locate the planet that your mark is on, then travel to that planet and launch a seeker droid to give you the current WP of your target. Acquiring waypoints takes time, so dont just land in the starport, launch your droid and leave asap - wait till you get the system message saying your droid finished tracking.
You can save the Arakyd if you travel to every planet and launch a seeker.
Keep in mind that your target can travel, so your Arakyd might say its on Rori, you travel to Rori, launch a seeker, and you get the message that your mark is not on that planet. Launch another Arakyd then to get to know the new planet.
alright i did all of the droid stuff and i tracked my npc mission to one spot on dantooine... and it wasnt there, what do i do. the seeker droid updated the waypoint and it was at the same place
help?

I've had this happen to me. I launched another seeker and it kept pointing to the same spot. I assumed that this is similar to the regular mission lairs vanishing bug and deleted the mission. The next mission I pulled was successful.
This has become a little more then an issue lately. After finding your NPC mark, and can /target him/her, but you can't shoot it or see it. It seems to me that the BH Mission terminals are handing out ghost missions. I usally expect 1 mission in 6 to turn out this way.
I'm begining to think that sooner or later if we pull a NPC mission (for a quick payout) we'll need an exocist to complete it.
ShiftDaParadigm wrote:alright cool. does anyone know of a vendor where i can get arakyd droids? And are these in crates like the seekers or are they sold singly?
Arakyds can come in crates, one Arakyd has 5 uses I think (long time since I was BH). Look in your servers trade forums for Droid Engineers, use the "Vendor Location" feature of the Bazaar terminals to get a waypoint to a vendor selling Arakyds, or look into the Droid Engineer forums if they have a list of Droid Engineers for each server. I dont read the Droid Engineer forums, but the Doctor and Bio Engineer forums maintain such lists.
