Thread: A very strange hunt

So I get my 208k mark. I'm slowly working my way up to being comfortable with 226k jedi, and I've killed a few 200+k, so I figure I have a bit of a chance.
I get to my mark and, of course KD. He goes down, gets back up, and I root him. I do the usual KD, Torso shot, advanced crit, torso shot, root, advanced crit torso shot...etc....
The strange thing is, his health wasn't going down a bit. I mean, it did at first, but it stoppedat about3/4.I check my combat log to see if I'm doing damage, and it shows I'm doing 170-530 damage with my various attacks. (sometimes I switch my auto-attack to ranged shot to build up action while I kite them).
I thought it a bit odd, so I mouse over his health. He has a max of 43xx health, and with each hit I did to him, I checked his health again. It wasn't going down.
I continued to fight him for about 10 minutes with this going on. He eventually ran away, and I was annoyed to the point that I didn't chase him.
Has this happened to anyone?
BTW, he let me know that he was master defender later. Even so, his health should have been going down if the combat log said I was doing damage, right?

this has happened to me beforeCU.Happens randomlywhich i believe to beyourclient lag to the server, but the good news is that eventually they will become incapped.It is pretty annoying butI believe it to be caused by lag or maybeeven a weird bug.

Had this happen against a mid level Jedi a few nights ago. Don't know how much damage she actually took, just know her HAM bar stopped gonig down as I was hitting her hard and often. Combat log showed me doing damage but it wasn't reflected in HAM.

This is a bug with the way HAM is displayed. I believe it's been reported.
The Jedi wasn't exploiting or anything, and their health was dropping, it just wasn't displaying properly on your end of the connection. I appreciate someone who can ask questions without crying exploit over it. /salute to you for that.
I believe this is due to be fixed soon, but I am unsure. I get it with MOBs and in PVP all the time, especially in laggy areas.

It happens and has been around for a while, it even happened to me in other games (World of Warcraft, evil piece of junk 
). I don't think it's easy to fix either, being a lag/connection related problem.

that happened to me pre cu when i was novie pistoleer and i tried to kill a janta, i thought it was cool until i got incap.
