Thread: How bout this for NGE, instead of NPC' only marks

Most jedi's will say, they get a thrill after beating a BH that has tried to take them down, and i know most BH will say, we had enough of hunting NPC's in our investigations tree to not really want to do it anymore.


So meet us in the middle, open up the BH proffesion to hunting more than just Jedi's, since from the looks of it the new Combat system will be balanced.


Here's the idea, If a group of Rebels go around all day taking down Bases, they would generate a mark, thus Imperial BH's woold only be allowed to pick that mark up, and vise versa.


If a smuggler is running too many hot goods through an imperial city, he'd get a mark, thus an Imerial BH would have to hunt him/her down.


If an Imperial BH takes out a lot of marks in a givin week, Rebel Jedi's and Rebel BH could pick up a mark on that imperial BH.


Can you see where i am going? basicly it make's check and balance system with BH's and everyone else, thus making the BH what it should be.


The BH gets too good, or too blood thirsty, a Jedi or BH from the other side can hunt them down, Since being that the Jedi are the enforcers of peace right?


I think this should be considered, even if it comes at a later date then the NGE. If you think about it, it's probably going to be enjoyable by both sides.

I agree, some form of this should be considered. Only make it an opt in situation. That way to cut down on the whines of 'forced pvp'. Although if there is any rewards for entering into it you WILL see people enter it for the rewards and then whine about the forced pvp.


TBH players bounties are (soon to be) a thing of the past. SOE at this point only cares about scraping as much money as possible out of the game before it's dead. I just feel for the BH's who lost their content, I feel for the Jedi who understood the risk and enjoyed the rush, and I mostly feel for the smugglers who were begging from day one to be hunted and have content.


At least we can pretend we are Han, or Boba, or whatever now heh. Oh and since we can pretend to be Boba and Jedi will be many....I wonder if mandalorian armor will be easier. Remember it's supposed to be as rare as jedi in this time line. Gotta love old dev statements lol.

'Forced pvp' is gone!!! All it took was removing the TKM, Brawler, Pikeman, Swordsman, Scout, Ranger, Carbineer, Pistoleer, Rifleman, Marksman, CH, BE professions. Nerfing the crafters even more. Nerfing jedi and turning them into a starter class. Destroying the ability to change professions. But hey, least the carebear jedi are no longer hunted.

Well... i think with this, if you don't want to be hunted, Don't make yourself a mark, Your actions in game should reflect on how you become a mark, destroy too many bases, well a mark is placed, if your a BH and go on a killing spree, expect a jedi to hunt you down, it's a checks and balance system, and with the decay being taken out, Death will just become another part of the game.


A system like this could easily be made, here's an example


BH are confined to targets of the opposite faction.


After a BH takes out lets say, 25 marks. A mark will be placed on his Head, that other BH can collect upon.


A Jedi takes part in 10 different factional battle's, a mark is placed.


All other Charachters will be marked if they cause damage to the other faction, meaning if You take part in 20 base raids, you'll get a mark.


They could also put a cap on this... You can only hunt some one else relative to your CL.


it's just a thought, a lot better than what it is now in my opinion, and probably better then it's gonna be.
