Thread: your thoughts on melee BH?

ive heard a lot of this on the brawler forums, having a melee BH only profession. i dunno about this idea myself, but i do want to seeeffective melee BH be brought back.
last times i did BH was with master scout and marks being needed, then i did it again when it was 2 lines of scout but the second time only went to 3000 and dabbled in tk.
i remember also reading on this board that people wanted to get rid of the melee BH's - i never agreed or understoof why. boba fett and jango using blasters, well maybe thats because it would help while using a JP or something. but i never saw the reason to make jedi hunting at MBH. i would want to get jedi hunting at 3000 bh, but that would be going backwards, so i dont know
what does everything think about it?

i think melee bounty hunters would be a nice addition, but i think that jedi hunt should be at the MBH lvl. So for now. melee BH are SOL

Well, actually you can do a novice BH / TKM / Master of any other melee prof (I'd suggest pikeman for improved intimidate) and be a CL80 meleer able to take novice (stay on same planet) missions, and this will even leave you 3 skill points if you want to have the forage ability

AND as someone pointed out in this thread (in the few last posts of the thread) : you'd be making a LOT of cash and consistent good loot drop. And with this template, rubybliel+StimD and timing your center-of-being well, as well as the states, you can take out the 36k boss marks with ease, as any medic skills will not be needed considering your defense and the fact that a lot of marks DO swith to melee weapons when caught at close range...

It's possible to be mbh and master any one melee prof, swords would probably be a good choice, or even tkm. This leaves 23 skill points left for medic 0020. This gives you general ranged and melee def of 180, two-handed def 50, so with a sword equipped def of 230. Add in center of being, and defense is more than adequate. Two handed speed is 100, accuracy is 195. This doesn't seem like a bad template, if you prefer fighting as a melee prof. Get a good high damage PH and the right foods,and you canprobably hold yourown for a while. Ranged is nice though, since you really don't have to chase them too far when they try to run.

I was TKM/MBH/Commando 4000 on Radiant for a while. I had a decent HLR and Speed pupped Katarn Knuckles. About 750-760 mod dps at around .87 speed 75 sac on the knuckles. The template was really fun in my opinion, but when up against a MDEF/MLS you can only last till you fill your stomach up with ruby bliel. From my experiences.....you can walk up to almost any jedi with your TKM tag up and regular clothes on and he won't even expect it. I sat and chatted with a jedi for about 5 minutes. Asked him questions about his template etc. and started wailing on him when Iwas relativly sure he was typing. I had a whole lot of fun with it and I would consider doing it again. Maybe with medic this time.
