This morning I arrived at the terminals in Kadaara as normal. I received my mission and started pursuit. I found my mark on Talus, a silver chevron that was quickly dispatched. Sadly he was not carrying anything of interest.

I returned to Kadaara and was assigned a second mission, I found this mark on Tatooine, another silver chevron, but a higher level than myself this time. The fight was much longer, but in the end I prevailed. Located on this mark was a schematic for a boutny hunter helmet. How this lowlife came to be in possesion of such technology is beyond me, but I recovered it from him and will store it for the time being.

Upon returning to Kadaara once moreI received a third mission. This mark was also located on tatooine. I traveled to bestine, and discovered that he was currently close to MosEntha. I exited the starport and launched a tracker droid. I jumped in my AV-21 and strated off to the last known location of my mark, about 2Km away. As I was traveling my droid reported in that the mark was back in town. I turned around and headed back. AsI got close to town I pulled up my map and found the waypoint near the center of the city. I pulled into the city limits, I knew my mark was still 300m away so I wasn't worried about him yet, then all of a suddenI noticed blaster bolts flying by me. I tried to stop my speeder, but it was too late, one lucky shot from the mark disabled it! I turned and saw him, a double gold chevron! I quickly took a defensive stance and began the fight, gulping down some food that lets me hold out a bit longer before getting tired. This mark was remarkably tough! He could dodge almost anything I threw his way, I tried everything, blaster attacks, chemical warfare attacks, nothing could make a dent in him. The battle raged for long minutes, my mind was wearing out from keeping myself healed, the fight was not looking good at this point. I moved myself soI was between my mark and some imperial soldiers that were hanging out in the area, it didn't take long before they noticed the fight and jumped in. A total of six imperials and myself were fighting this mark, the imperials were dropping like flies, and I was haggard beyond belief. Sadly the mark got the better of all of us.I awoke in the local cloning center, and quickly made my way back to the marks last know location, he appeared to have become quite confident in himself, as he had not changed locations. The battle once again started, and once again some imperial soldiers that had come into the area joined the fight, sadly the outcome was once again the same. I awoke in the cloning center again, and considered trying to locate the mark once more, but the fact that I already had to pay to repair my AV-21, that the empire had just informed me that something catastrophic was about to happen and all citizens should find a safe place within 15 minutes, along with the outcome of my two previous encounters with this markmade me reconsider.

This particular mark remains on the loose, and should be considered armed and highly dangerous.Iregretfully suggest reassignement to a more skilled bounty hunter.

Ok any ideas on how to deal with these double gold chevrons? I'm currently BH3444 Master Carb and CM 2002 (headed for 4000). This guy just handed me my tail like I was a gnort! I'm level 77 with my current build, and have taken silver chevrons up to level 80 without a problem. This is my first run in with one of these guys, and I'd like to be better prepaired next time!

Without altering your template:-

ARMOR: I carry 2 suits of armor, assault (high Kin) and recon (high en). depending on the damage hes dishing out you can run out of aggro range and swap armor, then run back.

PSG

BUFFS: spiced tea, bofa treat, blob candy, pica thundercloud, and booster blue.

BIO CLOTHES: combat medic bando +18 healing and an undershirt +16 melee/ranged defense.

GUN: Find a gun with the lowest SAC possible with a reasonably high MAX DMG.

Last thing is duel stance/synthesteak. (macro)

You can either carry 2 sets of armor or just get a good set of Faction armor with high kinetic and decent energy, and wear a PSG. I wear a set of Rebel faction armor with 7100/5100/5200 protection, works fine for any NPC. Only bad part is that I have to stay combatant, which can be a pain when the mark resides in enemy controlled cities. I find it more fun, to be honest... I had a fight in Mos Ethna a few days ago where the Imp NPC's were attacking both me and the mark... crazy shootout but I still wiped the floor with them all.

I have no problems at allwith the NPCs with Msmuggler / MBH / medic 0020. Keep track of how much you heal for, and don't heal unless you have taken at least that much damage. Conserve your mind and you shouldn't have a problem. Also if you have any combat slows, use them. If I'm good about using smuggler's low blow, I only have to heal two or 3 times during the fight. Knock them down whenever you get the chance, I usually knock them down right after I refresh duelist stance, put in a quick adv critical while they are down, then put on low blow once they get back up.

If you find that you can't heal for enough, get a BE medical effeciency shirt or bandolier like stated above, and get a med droid. Group with the med droid and stay near it, you will gain healing power even when it's incapped. I have a med/combat/repairprobot that I use for the NPC targets, works like a charm. Doesn't do a whole lot of damage, but it does help make the fight shorter.

If you find one that likes to do area attacks, drag him near some local wildlife and they'll join in the fight, just be careful not to use the area attacks yourself or the wildlife will turn on you.

Only foods I use are blob candy 9/10's of the time. If I find that I have a mark that does higher than normal damage, then I'll pop a citros snow cake to up my healing. You don't need steak or any of that other junk if you don't want to carry it around... at least I don't.

I thought the NGE couldn't be any worse than the CU, but I was wrong.

Thanks for the replies guys. NowI think my biggest problem is armor.I can heal for plenty, around 900 or so, but the armor i've been using is pre-CU Stormtrooper armor. It is only 5200 across the board. Guess I'll bite the bullet and get myself a nice new set. I'm also going to look a bit deeper into foods. I forget what i have, but it gives me +320 health, +200 action regen and +50 mind regen for 13 minutes. It has served me well up to now, but it sounds like there is better stuff out there. I'll also have to check out the SAC of my carbine, In my pre-CU thinking I just looked for max damage in a grinding gun.

Don't forget the combat slow too, at 0002 CM you should have one called Thyroid rupture. I'm not sure how this compares to Low Blow, but I do know that with Low Blow I can usually turn off my Duelist Stance macro as it just makes the fight last longer. Low Blow I believe is a 40% combat slow, but it's short duration compared to the CM slows. 40% slower is 40% less damage, quite a big difference against a L82 double gold elite.
