So last night I decided to run a jedi BH mission for the first time in over a month. Took my mission and off to Dantooine my probe droid lead me. When I arrived at the Mining Outpost my target was standing talking to a few people at the MO. So I waited and watched.
My mark started a friendly duel. When my marks health got to half way I pounced. Advanced Citical, KD, Advanced Critical. Well a few of these shots missed so the mark was able to get up and heal. The fight went on for about 5 minutes and I was seeming to get the upper hand when all of a sudden, poof goes my mark, cloaked he goes. So I stood around for a bit. I did recognize this jedi so I decided to drop the mission as this jedi did fight fairly.
When I sent him a /tell that I dropped his mission, the jedi asked me about my weapon so I gave him all the stats. He said I should get a better Pistol which I agreed but since I have collected all FS Xp and just waiting to go jedi, I told him that I wasn't going to spend the money for a pistol that I wouldn't be using for too long. He says "hold on, I have two great Pistols and you can choose one of them" He lead me to Theed and asked me to hold on while he went to his home.
When he returned, he offered me two Pistols and other items. The Pistol I was given was a Krayt scatter Pistol, 1.36 speed, 360-900 damage unpupped, SAC 80 and a very high DPS. I was also given a crate of 25 weapon repair kits with 99.99999 efficiency and some pups. I hazard to guess this weapon is worth at least a million dollars.
This jedi knows who he is and I must thank him publicly, DynastyWarlord is an honorable jedi that should not be hunted. He had no reason to give me this weapon. Bow to him!

And this is way I play this game!!!
I make it a common practice to tip ALL Bountiehunters who fail on their missions agasint me. Being that I've racked up over 40+ consecuative wins I would estimate I've paid 4mil in credits to those who were lucky enough to engage me.
The hard thing is letting this spoil us. There's ALOT of immature brats which play this game without recieving lover from their parents. Their imature behavior manifests into the gamming community and it's a chore to ignore it.
Gratz on the great encounter!!

That is the thing, you will find that not all jedi and/or BH for that matter are whiney and immature. Whether I win or lose I ALWAYS try to review the battle with the other person. We go over what worked, and what didn't, and yes I do try to give them advice for the next time. Sometimes the BH doesn't want to talk after I kill him, but hey I still make the attempt.

Yea i know what you mean about tipping them, this one Bh that did actually catch me unaware ( was talking to my brother at the time), had been tracking me for about 3-4missions, and finally decided to make his move at the mission terminal wth a bomb droid.. needless to say it didn't go to well for him. But there was something about the style i liked, maybe because he was trying so hard or something else, i had to tip him, because i felt bad, that and i liked his style alot. gave him a few tips, and waved at him when i passed him in the starport. nice fellah

Thanks for the comments. I have only once come across a jerk jedi. Perhaps because I treat my targets with respect. I usually find it's the non-jedi's standing around watching the fight that are the goofs. Karma has a way of finding us and my karma must have been good last night.

Thanks for the great post.
I have a similar story, from a Jedi perspective: I've been moving around in the past few months, and having nicely decorated houses is kind of a passion of mine. One day, while I was inside my private large Naboo decorating, a blue dot rolls up and stands outside for a minute or so, then I get a tell asking if I'm going to come out or not. Normally, I say no or just don't respond, but I happened to examine him, and saw that he was only level 65 or so, can't remember exactly. So I tell him that he probably wouldn't want me to come out, me being level 80 and pretty much finished temp. He says to come on out anyway, he wants to try.
So I oblige him, come out, he asks if I'm ready, I say sure. Fight lasts about 30 seconds, maybe 45. I don't deathblow. He thanks me, and gets on his swoop and rides off. We stay in tells, me giving him pointers. Turns out he quit playing some months ago and isn't familiar with the CU, so I take him under my wing and give him tips about bounty hunting, armor and weapons, and what Jedi are likely to do in combat, and we practice duel often, and he gets better each time.
He's still in his respec period, so he frequently has a different template each time we talk. The last time we dueled, he was a pikeman (can't remember the rest of his temp) and I couldn't beat him, lol. I don't have a lot to give away in terms of ranged weapons, since I was an old school TKM/M.Swords before Jedi and a crafter before bounty hunter, although I did give him a substantial chunk of credits to buy good armor.
Not all of us are bad as we are stereotyped to be...if you take the time to talk to us without insulting us for not going prone and waiting for the deathblow every time you show up, you might see that.
