Yeah, i just came up with a random thought and i decided i kinda liked it. I think that all scatter pistols should get a mind-fire DoT, and have the scatter moved up to master.


I know it sounds kinda weird, but think about it. Its acid damage. Acid BURNS. Jedi cannot heal fire. This would make a MBH the only class that could really devastate a Jedi (when a shot lands). Most other combat classes dont have the same problems with the fire, so it really doesnt imbalance PvP all that much. It just makes an MBH the most effective at killing Jedi, like it SHOULD be.



Bear in mind, this is just a brainstorm I had like, 5 minutes ago, so...dont take anything i say too seriously

scatter should also fire nuclear warheads and instant-incap them in 1 shot

Umm, I hate to tell you that Jedi can heal fire if they have master heal.


As for killing the jedi killing thing... So why cant a pistoleer or TK be able to kill a jedi and BH should?

yeah, but i dont believe that any jedi take that route. Do they? I dunno, not being a Jedi i honestly cant pretend to know.


And Bounty Hunters are supposed to be able to kill Jedi. Thats our skill. We're supposed to be able to fight decently against anyone, but we're the ultimate Jedi killing class.

I am working up the bounty hunter profession myself, but I don't think there should be the "silver bullet" weapon that Jedi are super vulnerable to. It should be balanced (I know, a word used too often, usually with many different meanings) so that there are several weapons that Jedi should be fearful of, each with their strengths and weaknesses.


If there was a MBH weapon that was a greater threat for Jedi because they can't deal with fire, then more and more Jedi would go for that Master Healer skill. It would be the flavor of the month for Jedi.


If, on the other hand, there were different special attacks for each of the bounty hunter's weapons at MBH, each with its pros and cons (and obviously not all defendable by an uber Jedi template), I would go for that. I definitely know how long it can take to get the exp to go up those weapons disciplines. MBH's should get that reward at master, and have to chose weapons once they find out what their Jedi mark may have a defense (skills) against. I would have to know the Jedi skills system to flesh out this idea any further, but it makes the original idea at least feasible in the current game.

I am not (master heal) but I know Jedi that are... Fire is not that big of a deal... there is always water, buffs, foods, and resist states (in the enhancement tree) that really nullifies the fire effect. I never pvp without a dancer and musician buff, considering I always have a doc around fire is not that big of a deal...


Ok, well if BH is supposed to be the ultimate Jedi killer, shouldn't Ranger be the ultimate creature killer? I mean they have the same uniqueness as a bh in the since of being able to track creatures... BH is unique to the game because they can take missions against us... Now completing the mission is the real challenge. IMO there are already too many things in the game that a single player can fight already. My rifleman/doc can kill almost anything in the game solo. Hell he can solo a super battle droid.


If Jedi could be solo'ed by a BH ether Jedi would be week or BH would be too strong. If they modified Jedi prof to allow the current BH to solo a Jedi then we could be easily killed by a Master Brawler (we are uber week to melee class). If they beef'ed up BH to kill Jedi then there would be no point to have a Jedi (they would be the uber pvp class)... I would rather play with a char that had nothing to loose and could kill 10 peeps in one mind area attack. There is no easy solution.


BH in the story line was even more covert in there action than Jedi... They were just as hated, for the most part. They were almost as rare.


I feel BH should be harder or enhanced in some way; I don’t feel they should have the power to solo a Jedi. I will caveat this statement by saying that a BH should be able to kill the average low level Jedi... but a padwan near knight or a knight should have no worries...


Why does everyone want to tank the Jedi on their server? Doesn’t anyone realize that the dev's have already stated that regular players should not be able to solo 1/4 of the stuff that they are fighting in the first place? For the most part I would prefer the old system for my Jedi... at least then I could enter a fight with uber comp armor with high stun resist with a shield gen... Now the only thing that I have is my block ability...

If I was an Imperial on Starsider right now, my greatest fear would be Rapax flying an RGI and using ePulse.
