Thread: MBH/M-Pistol, No Boss Marks. Here's Why.

On the first day of the patch 23, some of you may have seen my posts about no longer getting Boss Marks. After 40 missions that first day all I got was Level 81-82 elites with 18k(ish) Ham. All the loot was junk and I was very disappointed in the entire opertation. I was up to the point where, if I was getting the same loot as people without MBH, why even have it anymore. (And no, I didn't respec into it)
After reading posts about how others were still getting Boss marks, the next day I decided to give it another go. After 10 missions nothing had changed. I knew others were still getitng those marks though.
Two days prior I had dropped master marksman in favor for more healing must still maintained my CL of 80. The speed on my gun went from.. I kid you not... .88 to .89 (Meaning master marksman ins't worth it to me). I hadn't finished training up those healing blocks yet before patch 23 came in.
So I went to theMO and got in a few high level groups and went piket hunting. Tossing my tiny heals left and right. After2 1/2hours I went from 0200 medic to 4000 Combat Medic. (That's just silly fast)
With my almost re-complete template of Master BH / Master Pistols / 4000 Combat Medic and 0200 Force Ranged Speed (1 block shy there of final), I went back to BH hunting.

First Mark... Level 82, Gold Chevron Boss mark with 32k ham. 161 max damage casings as loot.
So.. in a nutshell, Even though it says MBH's can get those marks. In all my recent experiences... no they can't. I'm not going to say 50 missions don't lie, but since I re-finished my template, Every 4th one or so has been a boss.
Finish your templates if you are having trouble getting these marks (even if you are Master BH already).

My template has been finished for a while now...and I only had 2 boss marks in around125 missions. Recently, I had 3 in a row followed by 6 elites and then another boss. I'm glad they're coming up more now...I'm not even eating foods for the elites anymore...except for the ones that decide to use kinetic guns. But that only requires a brandy and some occasional bacta shots.
It's random. Period.
Now that I think about it though, every mission I have pulled from a term in a player city has been a boss...but that only accounts for 3...so the percentage could trick ya.

FOTM - MBH/MCM Pistol 0004 here. Ran about 20 missions yesterday, not a single boss mark. It's random.

I ran over 100 NPC missions here an *no* boss marks yet. Just eliteswith 18-19k HAM averagewhich dont even cause me to break a sweat.... Maybe brandy and 1 stim for the kinetic marks...

Im only got invest 3 atm and i got boss marks post pub 23 and pre pub 23.

I have MBH, MCH 1000CM right now and I get boss marks frequently.. and I dont even take the level 80 missions most of the time (usually just lvl 73-75)..

I'm a MBH/MR/CM4000 and I've ran probably 20-30 missions with no Boss. I've been taking only 31k+ missions.. Will try some lower ones to see if it changes anything.. ATM tho, it seems kinda random.
