Bounty Hunter Archive
Thread: Any advices for unlucky BH ?
Same template as me, and very similar hunting experience.
I did manage to get 1 jedi down to about 10% health and 10% mind, then he simply force ran away and I was not able to catch him in the player city I was in, as he ran into his house...
I just made MBH and have only tracked 4 jedi, so I need to learn more about hunting jedi...
How about using Assault armor, instead of Ubese.

You have the same template as me bud .... and possibly better armour !
The only advice I can give you is a better investigation into your food ! I can stack, along with the standard Doc Buffs about another 9 food and drink combos before I engage !
Patience also as has been said before for us... is not a Virtue, it's a necessity ! Many of my bounties I have STALKED for over an hour before choosing the right time and place.
MRM is NOT the best combo for BH, but for those of us who LOVE OUR RIFLES, it means that we have to be Sneakier, Stealthier and plan our attacks more carefully !
Hope this helps .... if you struggle with food combos, send me an email or PM.
Good Luck & Stick with it my friend

If you follow these two rules and drop the mission whenever you can not engage with these parameters, you will achieve success . There is nothing wrong in doing this. This is the BH way and Jedi's are 1.5 stronger for this reason.

Stop hunting Jedi?
You're quite a jerk.
Why am I a jerk? He asked for advice and I gave it to him. The battle is stacked in the favor of the Jedi. The majority of the mission you see on the terminals are for Jedi that greatly outpower you (especially given the new VIS rules).
So, you have a very low probably of being able to complete the fight and that assumes that you can even get then to fight.
- Depending on weither or not they cloak and run away
- are AFK in a house
- Somewhere on Wookie World
- Or if they start losing. don't just force run away
So, unless you are willing to just live with a high probably of failure and time spent tracking a mark that is actualy there and will fight, your best advice is to not base your enjoyment level of the game on a system that is stacked against you.
If you are willing to live with odds against you and willing to die often or at least have your marks escape often, then keep at it. But you at least have to pick up some CM (as he has) get your Weapon Stacked Sliced, get your Armor Stack Sliced and have some luck on your side when you get your first strike in.
But, if you are like me and refuse to grind out whatever FoTM template is therage at that time, you mightjust chose to not waste the time.

I have the exact same temp and use similar food. Pikatta Pie, Booster Blue, Pyro, Ruby and Carnpe (sp?). I have a decent time against Jedi. I lose about 2 outta 3, which is ok with me. My rifle is slightly less powerfull than yours, and my armor is exactly the same. What you need is to stalk your mark, and wait for them to fight something to where you can sneak in your attack. Or to where you can simply DB them at the right time.
I've killed 6 out of 20 jedi by DBing them without firing a shot. Also, use cover and conceal shot. If possible, I'll use cover, sneak up within range and conceal shot 3 times if I can. Then sniper shot! By then they should be hurting! Your temp is designed to output a lot of power really fast! So use it. Make sure to KD. Also, if you're running low on action or mind, make sure you use kneecap shot to Snare them, then kite them while you regen your pools. Kiting is a defensive manuever in my opinion and I only use it when I need a regen of my mind or action.
Use these tactics and you should do a decent job.
