Thread: What is your armor repair strategy

I'm getting a little tired of buying a new suit of armor roughly every 2.5 weeks. Without repair or with repair it seems to get destroyed in that period of time no matter what I do. Is this common and I should just get used to it? Or is there a smarter way to manage it?

dont use it unless oyu need to

id buy/loot coes and such for cheap PvE armor and keep a PvP suit in a droid when you wanna use it

How is that affected by armor break attacks?
Also,.. what did that run you? 135 mill?

Not to mention that there's not enough ADK's on the servers to allow everybody to ADK their whole suits. After lowering achest peiceover 30ktotal condition (out of70k total)on the first repair... I think I'm going to be buying dirt cheap armor from now on for general non PvP use. I have a bunch of cores I looted, so I'm sure they can be used for something.

I guess I could always find an armorsmith to repair it for me and pray for the best... but that would get rather old for me and the guy repairing it.


Why can't the stupid repair tools just cost more and actually WORK?

well im uber rich, so yeah that ran me for about 100m plus all the mods and crap but after killing a jedi and getting endless hate tells , it is well worth it , nothing makes my day than hate tells from an idiot jedi that thinks that by beating pikets from dawn to dusk makes them uber rofl

On my server ADK's a selling for 8M. For the three to cover my pants, jacket, and helm that's 24M


8K E Ubese suits with 75% AB slice cost about 2 M


In other words, I'd have to go through 12 suits of armor to justify ADK-ing one suit


Now I don't know about you and I don't know about the OP, but I don't think I've gone through 12 suits in even these past two years. Granted, I'm not a hard-core gamer and more often than not I grind with no armor at all, but that's still a lot of ground to cover


When I first started repairing my armor I did notice that I seemed to get a lot of failures no matter what quality of tool I used. However, I have seen a better change in luck when I repair in front of a crafting station. I have no idea if the station has any affect whatsoever on my recent success, but it works for me


My question is, is it better to repair often or repair only when the condition gets below 1k?

i didn't ADK one set of armor. i ADK'd two sets. i wasnt sure if i like the white or red (base color) BH armor. lmao

the best armor to adk is the mabari since u only need to adk 3 pieces unless you adk the boots and gloves and the rest of the gear

i use pre nerf mabari shirts and belts so they dont need adk

Hrm... was this a high end crafting station or just a 0.0 rated public station? I'm curious to this as I have a droid with all crafting modules installed... I might try that next time instead. I know I was pretty pissed that I lowered the condition of my faction armor 30k points in one try with a 99.9999 rated tool. I could take 5k or 10k, but 30k is a little drastic.

If you're going to ADK something, wont you want to to have the space to put AA's on it? With only 3 pieces you wont get as many in.

Also you can ADK just the head, body, and legs, since the arms take on average 5 times longer to decay.
