Thread: Questions about Bomb Droid

I'm getting ready to use a bomb droid for the first time. Realizing that timing is so important in a fight, I don't want to make a mistake. Is this the order in which I should procede?

1) Knock Down

2) Bomb Droid attack

?

If so, then my next question is, "How do I detonate the bomb droid witha text command?" I don't want to be fiddling around with a radial menu at such a critical moment. If the Jedi attacks my bomb droid before he detonates, then he doesn't detonate. So, is the command?

1) Generate bomb droid from inventory

2) Target enemy

3) type '/det' ?

Is '/det' the correct command?

Any other advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

One way is to target the droid and type /det (I think..)or to select the radial menu thing.

You dont target the enemy. You tell your droid to follow the enemy

You can't call your droid while in combat. You would have to catch your target by suprise by using it before you engage. For instance, I get missions for Jedi that are fighting in Bestine. I will go there and there will be about 10 Jedi fighting. I am in casual clothing and will slowly make my way behind them. Once behind I will send out the droid to my target and then type in GroupChat '/det' without the quotes. The countdown will begin. If the Jedi sees it he can run or bash the droid. YOu can't stop the detonation sequence once it has started. Make sure you have your droid targeted when you type /det also.

"There are a lot of different levels within that [profession], so the people who've been [working down the Jedi path] for a long time will be much more powerful than the people just coming up. We're still rewarding people for their loyalty over the years." - John Smedley

Set the droid to follow your mark. Highlight your droid and type /detonate. When the count down reaches *1*, fire your KD.

Also... you can not call a droid in your datapad while in combat... however, if the droid is in your inventory as a deed, you can "ready" the droid while in combat. This will effectively call the droid.
