Thread: Reasons to increase MBH Terminal Information
On a personal note:
I'd like to see some "idiot jedi tax" initiated:
I.e.
1.) Jedi get's killed while AFK or LD = Double payout for BH / double xp loss for Jedi
2.) Jedi lower in level than CL70 while wearing robes or using a lightsaber are targets of opportunity and MBHs should not need to have their mission to engage/collect on them.
Before I get flamed for this by the Jedi-hordes please keep in mind that while SOE has allowed you to play Jedi (you are a cash-cow) that doesn't give you the right to be stupid about how you play and not expect a MBH to come calling. You have chosen the jedi path and it has consequenses.

Not going to comment on the poster's first line of ideas. However, I have to comment on the ones posted above.
First of all, you say you want a "idiot tax" on AFK or LD Jedi. Sure thing, if and when you lose maybe half the DPS on all your weapons whenever you go AFK or LD. This is somewhat silly isn't it? The fack that someone is AFK or LD is not always intended. If you haven't been AFK because you have had to run to the bathroom or to answer the phone then you have been lucky. Becoming AFK is something that "happens" because of a variety of reasons. Same thing with the LD. On more then one occassion I know of people that go LD because of power loss from storms or even cats (yes cats) or because the spouse has turned off there PC without thinking or simply because they crashed. Does that make them "stupid".
Second, just because you are a MBH does not give you any more rights in this game then anyone else. Sure it is dissappointing about not being able to find your mark or engage him but certainly this does not give you the right to arbitrarily punish the mark for things that are at time beyond their control.
Finally, why should low level Jedi be subject to open attack by a MBH just because they are under CL70 and wearing rodes? What is the big deal? Just becasue you personally don't like to see it does mean it is a good reason. Tell us "why?" you don't like it with some good reason.
To me, all of these ideas are just posts froma frustrated BH that can't get his mark. Or, another one of those that want that "I win" magic button so that the Jedi just fall dead at your feet without any sort of fight. I guess you forget that these are people and players just like yourself. Or, maybe you just aren't thinking clearly!
Like I said, that was on a personal note of what I'd like to see. I didn't recommend it did I?
I have no desire for an "I win" button. What I want is for this game to be more consistent with the SW universe, Sony marketed this game in that it takes place during a time with no jedi, yet I'd wager on Bria alone there are more jedi than all the SW books combined.
Here is my reason for an idiot jedi tax:
It takes alot longer to display AFK than a quick bio break, unless you have major issues, in which case you need to /logout.
If Jedi would /logout, LD kills would be much less frequent and Jedi would stop complaining about it.
I don't care if it is your fault or within your control. Jedi are the Alpha class, 1.5x more powerful than the rest of us "normals", but it comes at a price and that price is loss of xp if you get killed by a BH.
I had no desire to hunt Jedi in the beginning, that is to say until I couldn't go 5 minutes without seeing one. This isn't a game based on the GCW anymore, it's turned into a game of "I wanna be a jedi seven minutes after I install the game."
The ultimate point , and this is undisputable is that SWG is a RolePlaying Game, based in a time when there are only 2 sith, 1 jedi and 1 force sensitive farm-boy.
Oh and by the way, just because your free alternate character is a BH doesn't give you the right to be here troll.
I have an alternate character, but I have to pay for it. Hardly seems fair.

I sense much anger. Anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering... and it's me that's suffering by reading this.

Proposal:
Please implement one or more of the following:
1.) Put names back on the terminals.
I kind of like being in the dark when I start my mission. Sure, I lose more droids this way, but I still enjoy it more
2.) Correct Bounty pricing based on the amount Force Discipline skill boxes a mark has. Make it a flat rate of 10k per skill box. This would allow for Bounty Hunters to gauge their level of effectiveness by being able to work their way up, as it were.
I thought this was a good idea at first, then realized all the new jedi would be hunted non-stop, and all full templates ignored. Not so good for the game.
3.) Current Planetary information. If Jedi are going to be able to hide on Kaasshyyk and most likely Mustafar, BHs need the ability to pick and choose their marks.
This is annoying, no doubt. But then, what's the point of the akroid droid, then?
Checks and Balances:
1.) Limited Hunting: In an effort to eliminate griefing, allow only two hunters to take any single jedi's mission (this is solely to relieve the possibility of a Jedi ALT holding his own mission). Once two hunters accept the mission, the mission is removed from the terminals until one hunter no longer has the mission.
So, what if a friend AND his alt holds his mission - sounds like he'd be off the terms indefinitely.
2.) Once a BH has had a Jedi's mission they (that particular BH) will not be given that Jedi's mission for no less than 30 real-time days. If the Jedi is successful in killing the BH, it counts just the same as the BH killing the Jedi, with with a 30 day cool-down period to prevent griefing.
I don't see any problem with that, I guess. Is it really that big of a problem? I haven't seen it.

i disagree with you completely
i think taking names and bounty payouts off the terminals was fantastic for bounty hunters, now more of us are out there gaining experience against full template jedi
and we don't have to worry about missions being horded by jedi-alts and friends, and no more ganks against certain jedi who pissed you off. itsperfect for bounty hunter: keep it business, its not personal
a saber jockey will be killed eventually, they always are when they are careless before they finish template
as for kashyyyk, i wouldn't mind an option for the BH to exclude kashyyyk missions entirely from the terminal, i pulled 14 in a row last night
