Thread: Droids can keep tef on failed missions...

So if you fail your mission and you have a cloner nearby you can keep the Tef on the jedi if your droid continues to attack. It stays attacking after you die. Once you clone if you can make it back quick enough you can continue to fight the jedi. Even tho you failed the mission if you db him you will get the payout and he will lose the xp.

Myth or Fact??

Lets test this b/c i have heard from some jedi this is possible. I have not done this myself but i figure we can all test this theory and find out if it is true.

Let's assume that it IS possible. So you die and your droid continues to attack the Jedi. The Jedi takes two, maybe 3 swings at the droid to kill it.

One of two things will happen next:

1. The Jedi will simply leave the area and you will not be able to attack after 2.5 min from the droid's death

2. You return, find the dead droid and Jedi within 2.5min and the Jedi kills you again.

I don't understand why this could even come into play, since in both cases you lose.

supposedly a BH did this until he ended up killing the jedi, now the in's and out's of how likely you are to win the fight isn't the question. But we all know the hub of jedi that hang out in say Theed where the cloner is right there. If the droid is keeping tef that could mean alot of things. PvPing in theed and have your droid in a place that isn't noticed, you end up dying but come out and have a tef on someone, there are other scenarios where this could be applied. All im saying is that if its possible lets make it known.

HEy!!! thanks so much for sharing this exploit.. and thanks even more for showing you're likely to use one. Wouldn't it just suck to get your butt stomped in by the JEDI AND reported for exploiting and risk an account suspension or ban... great post !

First off the confirmation of this story holding water is something still to be tested and confirmed. Also any good jedi will come to these forums to read what tactics or possible exploits that exist in the game. So i expected jedi to read this, i wanted both classes to know of this. I want this fixed not exploited. Until something is a known bug across the server it doesn't get fixed and isn't a exploit until it is known. Many things that are possible in this game isn't considered a exploit unless a CSR deems it so.

So instead of making my thread about the war of who is exploiting who the most. If your a jedi and have had this happen to you say so. If you a BH who checked to see if its possible say so.

Keep the flames out of this post. Either do the homework, or don't bother posting at all.

cry hell! i welcome you with open arms to just keep coming, because eventually your 'i got pwned' meter will cap out and you'll figure out i'm just to BAD for ya.

That aside.. yes it is an exploit to continue to attack a jedi you have already lost to and therefore lost the mission on... so you tell me what i missed there bucko

"bucko" silly words FTW!!! try not to jump to too many conclusions. cry some more.

I love how ya have "fix /duel; /endduel exploit!" and a thread like this BOTH on the front page.....

only goes to prove what I've said all along:

Actions Jedi use against a BH is always an "exploit" and

Actions BH's use against a Jedi is always "good tactics."

more jumping to conclusions. where does it say "good tactics" besides in your post. wow, it's still the same old story around here. I don't post here too often because too many Jedi cry in the BH forums for my tastes.

after failed mission, the droid does stay 'red' and will continue to attack...last time this happened to me (Papito :smileyvery-happy the droid stayed red and continued to aggro until the BH stored it. . . i would assume the BH could still attack and if he did, i would claim it to be, and I'm sure CSRs would concur, an exploit

it would be a 'bug' and only an exploit if that bug was used. this OP was just making the possibility known.

I don't know if you realize this, but there is more than one person who starts posts on the bounty hunter forums. Furthermore it may shock you to learn that an individual's posts may actually not necessarily reflect the views of every bounty hunter in the game. You also must never read the Jedi forums because there are also differing viewpoints among the Jedi crowd. And if there are any small children in the room, you may want to have them leave because the following thought may blow their minds (read at your own discretion) When a Jedi becomes a Jedi, he unlocks an additional character slot on the same server. Some Jedi use the character created in this additional slot (commonly referred to as an "alt") to become a bounty hunter. Yes, my friend, some players play as a Jedi and a bounty hunter on the SAME SERVER. Some of these players even use their bounty hunter alt to . . . and I know this may be tough to accept, but it's true . . . hunt Jedi.
