Thread: Petition to give other classes more content

I've been a BH since near launch. I left for a while since as many of us know, this game was in just about beta status when it was launched. I find that the new updates and especially the CU have added a great deal of value to the game. However, coming from the old days where every class was well represented, and everyone had a fair share in the action, I am concerned with the current imbalance in gameplay and content.


Oh I'm not concerned with who can kill who more, or why a pistoleer has one skill when I think the BH should have it. Thats for the devs and correspondents to flush out. What I am concerned about is the fact that the majority of players (at least on eclipse) are polarizing themselves to either BH or Jedi. While this does provide players with a good deal of content, it leaves the world feeling rather lopsided, and makes it difficult to find other classes to group with or share experiences with.


I'm kind of get tired seeing everyone walk by with a glowy stick or a HLR. I'm not blaming them for doing so as that's where the current content lies. I would however like to see the devs focus on considerably more content for the other umpteen classes in the game so there is more diversity and encourage a more broadened grouping experience. Just my 2 cents.

Very intelligent post /sarcasm off. I'm not whining that I can't have everything. I simply want other groups to have more so they don't have to feel compelled to join one of only two content classes.

PRE-CU, No matter what templateI decided to go with, I had something I could do and enjoy doing it. Now there are only a couple viable templates to do anything. If you dont have a mbh, then krayts are about the only loot you're going to get and be able to make money off of. PVP is all about the pre-cu jedi, or the rich jedi that can afford a 300mil saber. (300mil b/c it takes 15-20prems to tune one of the higer endedsabers) Content, loot and other game functions need to be dispersed amongst all combat professions, not just BH and Jedi.

HEHE you know... i always get a laugh when people like this post in this type of thread... they all care enough to remind you how much they hate this type of thread.. yet they bump it everytime they chime in... and therefore give it more exposure... LOL thats funny. Even by being negative, they bring attention to your opinion.

i disagree in your statement about group dynamics ... its still viable to play as a non jedi or non BH .. in fact you're better off with a NON BH template if you want to maximize template power while not going jedi ...



but as for proffession specific content? yes ... bh and jedi have more ...BH because they can hunt marks .... jedi because they have entire areas of the game and FRS locked away from the other classes .... this is the way its always been though ...since launch .. just that not so many people were BH or jedi...



solution? stop catering to the BH and jedi .... can this happen? i dont know so many people are jedi and BH now and threaten to quit whenever the devs dont give them all the attention they want .. the devs dont have time to mess with other proffessions ...


it should be thePLAYER BASE you petition .... the player population ...not the devs ... beg players to stop acting like babies and stop being so selfish and to stop crying for attention long enough for the devs to work on content thats not BH or jedi related ...
