Thread: Great reason we should still be told who our player marks are..................

This is probably one of the funniest BH vs a full template Jedi missions ever, but a good example as to why we should still get the names of our marks.
I decided to halt my progression through the multiple quests on Kashyyyk for a night and hit up Vader while he was in Bestine for a few quests. As I'm standing there getting my first mission from the Dark Lord himself, I notice there is a well known full template rebel jedi guardian on our serverwho repeatedly keeps upsetting the big guy in black and thus getting insta-incapped over and over. I see he's carefully spacing out his incaps to avoid any potential of a triple incap death, not even sure if those types of incaps can lead to death. But nontheless, he keeps repeating this over and over. I see tons of MBH tags roaming around the area, but none of them seem to care about this jedi standing in the street with his pants down.
So I head over to Corellia to tag my NPC's for my first Vader mission and promptly snag the jedi's mission, a 226k mission at that, on my way back to Vader. I load into a huge battle where there are now 50+ SF rebels holding up in the Bestine starport with the lvl 92 darktroopers and 20 to 30 SF imperials at the entrance. My mark has joined the rebel forces by now, so I decide to join the pvp and if I get my mark that'll be a bonus. It was a great battle, eventually we Imperials wiped out the rebel invaders.
I notice my mark had forceran through the crowd and was headed for the hills. I pursue behind an Imperial Jedi hot on his tail. The mark was slain by the other jedi before I could reach him for the DB. Then we get word that the rebels are gathered in AH preparing for another battle, so we head over there and wipe them out again. Once again my mark is SF and gets slain just meters away but thanks to the lag someone else gets the DB again.
So after forgoing the normal BH tactics and joining fully into the SF battle as my mark was, I missed the DB twice. After I go back to combatant status in Bestine and resume my talks with Vader, guess who shows up on-leave again? My mark returned to annoy Vader yet again, as soon as Vader insta-incapps him I send the final blow.
This rebel jedi guardian was no doubt doing his stupid trick with the impression that no one had the huevos to do anything about it because he was teh uboorz glowstick jockey. If they completely remove names from missions there will be tons of jedi performing stupid tricks in the open because they won't have any fear knowing BH's can't just run over and grab their mission to put a stop to whatever they are doing.
If it comes to the point where we have a city filled with jedi purposely standing around with their pants down taunting the BH's who have no hope of grabbing a mission for said jedi then this game will become even more unsavory than it has already. I for one wouldn't see any point in keeping MBH, or even continue to play SWG for that matter.BH was intended to keep the jedi incheck, and the devs have gone a long way to bend the rules topacify the growing jedi community.When will they just stop and leavethings alone?

I agree, names are needed because you can catch ebay jedi showing off or just plain dumb ones.

Originally BH were NOT intended to keep Jedi in check. Heck even now that is not the intent. The intent was to provide an element of PVP.

So we were made to annoy you is that what your saying? It makes so much more sense now. and the devs Lied to us this whole time. WOW. Tanks Just quit now we know the truth. /rolleyes

I'll have to respectfully disagree with that. Originally, every opposing faction player on the server were used to keep jedi in check. It was a wonderful world where any use of saber or force powers gave the jedi a TEF to any opposite faction, no BH required. SOE decided to remove those TEF's ultimately leaving only BH to keep the jedi in hiding. There was once a time when jedi actually went out of their way not to be seen and used their weapons/powers with great reserve. The intent was to make life difficult for the jedi, but SOE has since decided to use jedi as a marketing ploy. In doing so they are making life much more comfortable for the jedi at the expense of the other professions. Being the only remaining characters that can kill jedi outside ofSF GCW combat, BH's will be getting the shaft big time until all we can do is offer /flowers to our jedi marks.

ive never posted in these bh forums before, i just check them from time to time to see what you guys are up to
i agree with the poster that names should be posted on the terms, for the above example that he just stated
and also another reason is once you pull the mission supposedly your target is online, what happens when he goes offline
are you suppose to run around looking for someone when that person is offline and you dont know who your looking for
lol bhs are gonna be running around for hours looking for someone thats not there
i feel for you guys i really do, ive always enjoyed the excitement when a bh comes for me, but on the other hand ive had 5 bhs come for me in 20 minutes, ive had to fight 3 bhs off at the same time while im only worth 100k, its these reasons and the bhs that dont want a challenge only to roll over jedis that have no chance of fighting and then sned hate tell to them when they run and then repeatedly pull their mission over and over just to terrorize them
the system was abused by some, but all they had to do seriously was prevent a bh from grabbing that mission again right away, they couldve just installed a timer of say 3 days till the next time that bh could grab his mission again
just my thoughts, but i dont know squat
