Thread: BH/CM non-combatant healing a combatant question...

Okay, so there I was watching a BH trying to kill a Jedi and I noticed the BH getting low on health. I, like a good neighbor, decide to heal the BH while he's killing jedi. (I detect hate mail coming at this point...) Anyway, finally someone yells at me to stop healing the BH. At this point I stop, not because I don't want to help a brother BH, but because I'm not sure what the rules are at this point. Being unprepared to fight the jedi myself I left the area. So, this story brings me to my question: How can I as a non-combatent heal ANY character engaged in a duel with another character? Factional alignment still plays a role, but I thought that I could only heal players not actively engaged in PvP. Mind you that I am not in PvP mode....and yes, I am sure.... Is this some kind of game glitch? Is this how it's supposed to be? I don't have a TEF, but can the enemy of the person I'm healing come after me? Lot's of questions, but I was hoping another BH/CM could shed some light on this scenario...

If the guy was on a Bounty Mission when you were healing him then some sort of bug had happened yes, as you should not be able to render any kind of assistance to either party. If it was just a duel, then yes you can heal... but dosen't that kind of ruin their duel?

I'll give you that, but how often do you see a player with a MBH tag showing dueling a jedi? Actually, what I saw happen was two jedi dueling each other and then a BH open fire....I don't think they (BH and jedi) were dueling since I didn't see any conversation between them about dueling...I know that there could have been tells, but the way he just opened fire while the jedi was fighting someone else made me think different. This is interesting...I'll have to do some more testing to see if it's consistent...could be a bug...kind of rude, I know, to help someone kill someone else, but I was just playing around and noticed that it worked....One note, however, is that I didn't get any healing exp from the encounter....Also, earlier in the evening I healed some guy who WAS dueling another character, but the guy I healed was responding to some trash talker so I didn't think it too rude to assist...
