Thread: White 'dot' NPCs attacking?
I was running my crafter thru my player city back to my factories and saw a 'white dot' NPC called Festoo'o Oimotchih. White on my radar, when I clicked on him no HAM bar or level indicator (much like I get on Imperial NPCs being Imperial myself). Anyway as I walked past this NPC attacks me and one shot kills me (I'm only level 20 something)...is it possible this was a BH mission and are people aware that altho we can't attack them, they can attack us? lol
Probably, yeah. BH marks have a nasty habit of going aggro on combatants and other BH's. I've lost a ton of swoops to other people's boss marks that I'm guessing they couldn't kill and left it alone. Drive by, then it aggros me and kills the swoop. Oh well, I just run offa bit, then do a /feign, pull a new swoop from the crate, then go find my mark.
If the other person's mark is still there after I kill mine and come back, then I kill it and take the loot.
Something like that happened the other day to me also. My mark was in Dathomir. I landed at the Dathomir outpost and opened my inventory to send out a seeker. Just as I send it out, I start getting pounded by a named NPC. I attack back and get it down to half health just as the BH that had the mission road up. He started attacking the NPC also. After the NPC was dead, I asked him if that was his mark and he said it was. I asked also if he got paid, which he did.
I proceeded to test this theory out again with another BH friend. He took a mission and I followed him to where his mark was. Once we arrived, the mark to me was white. My friend stood back out of Aggro distance and I walked up to the mark. As I got about 5m from the mark, it turned red with the yellow circle and started blasting me. I proceeded to attack and my friend came in an attacked. He got the payout and I got the loot for doing more damage. Keep in mind that I was not grouped.
The second test was with my friend grouped. We did the same thing but this time I was unable to get the target to aggro me.
