So if the the devs decide to remove Terrain Negotiation from the scounting tree, this would (in my mind) remove the neccessity to have scout as a pre-req to Bounty Hunter, since there would be no benefits to the player, other than to lost the skill points.

So my question is this: In the highly unlikely situation thatthe devs DO in fact rmove both the terrain negotiation AND the 4xxx Scout pre-req from Bounty Hunter, what are YOU going to do with your extra 29 skill points?

I am currently MBH/MRM/4xxxCM and I would pick up 44X4CM.

Anyone else?

It will never happen so you might want to get that out of your head, and there are two reasons why it won't happen.

1. Terrain negotiation will still be a scout skill, the first 50 points of TN was used for running up hills and such. The next 50 (the ranger TN) was used for crawling speed while prone. ALL current ranger mods are said to be dropping down to scout, what this means for BH's is a 100 TN or close to (some of it may be moved to the master scout box) so the line in scout in reference to BH will remain.

2. All current elite classes require two trees in the basic classes to achieve the novice box (except for Ranger which looks to be changing with the revamp). By your theory of removing the TN of scout from the pre-req for BH that will leave BH with just one tree required for the novice box. If you think there are outcries now about BH wait to see what would happen then.

QFE and a minor addition ...

2.a. The two basic requirements for BH will not change (i.e. it will not move from a row in Scout to one in Marksman or Brawler) because the last thing the world needs is an additional respec for BH's.

Good stuff. You know, it just makes more sense coming from another BH. I saw it posted up by a correspondant on the Ranger forum, and couldnt' really make sense out of it.

That'd be pretty nice to have some more TN though.

It was a really nice, but short lived fantasy there. I had visions of wasting Jedi with advanced CM tricks like thyroid, paralyze, deutrerium, etc and then blasting them with MRM skills, lol!
