If cloak is supposed to be an alpha strike, as Tanks has quoted the Devs on repeatedly, I don't see any problem with this.

Heal breaking cloak and not being able to cloak in combat are two different things. For BH/Jedi combat, a jedi would still be able to cloak and walk away, even if his health is at 5, thus avoiding the BH death.


Nonetheless, I find Helios' words interesting.

Today I my mark, and he was overt was healing his other overt buddy while cloaked w/o any fear of getting attacked.

You'll be happy with this until you run into a Menhancer with cloak who will just STASIS you and FR away. By the time you catch up with your Jedi Mark the TEF will have worn off and Cloak will be activated.


oh and just so you know combat does break cloak. If a jedi is able to attack while cloaked he is exploiting.


Unless you are referring to CM's being able to apply their DOT's to a cloaked Jedi to break him out of cloak since that does put him into combat. That IMO is another Exploit as those are direct target attacks and Cloaked Jedi are not supposed to be able to be targeted.Area attack would be fair game IMO.

No what is of course cloak will break when combat is intitiated but then after that the Jedi should not be able to cloak again until the combat has finished, and yes its true that they could just stasis and Forcerun away, and I can accept that a hell of alot better then the guy who can cloak and sit next to me regen all the while doing /spit /rude at me

But for the fact that Jedi dont get to a fisrt strike on BH. That would be one heck of a problem with that.

Pre CU Jedi and Day 2 Vet since the game didnt work on day one.

Right but Jedi aren't supposed to have first strike on BH missions, in general PvP they can spend the points to have the first strike if they want it.

It depends on what you mean by until the combat is finished.


For most BH's that means either until they are dead or until the Jedi is dead.


Not being able to Cloak while in combat means nothing to certain templates that like i've stated earlier can still get away.


Oh and the Jedi will still be able to do all his rude comments and actions right next to you while cloaked because basically you cannot break it. He will just have to avoid you enough until the TEF wears off.

I mean til the music stops and you can call your pet, droid, or bike as out of combat.

As for the rest I know there are still other things that a jedi can do but it will help alot to balancing something that is completely unbalanced.

Like i stated earlier. The changes to cloak are not going to give BH's want they want. We will still have the means to escape with the skill and I'm sure they will just keep crying about it.

But at the very least they couldn't simply kd me and cloak every 30 seconds, and it would require a much larget investment in skill points.
