Thread: Choke=Freeze? Anyone else had this happen?

Pulled the first mission today, shoot at the jedi, miss, jedi uses force choke and I cant move, heal, use Stim Ds anything I die in three hits. ok aggrivating since I have never lost in three hits and was confused by the freeze affect of choke. Talked with the jedi and he was equally confused...
Pulled a different jedi mark engage he also uses force choke...again I cant move, heal, shoot anything just stand there get incapped he lets me up Im still froze incapped again and DBd. Is this how force choke is supposed to work? Or is it bugged? Im finding dying due to inability to do anything seriously annoying and am considering calling it a day on this overly bugged game.
Anything I can do to correct this or is it working as intended?

i hope that choke got a boost.
powers jedi might not be so jealous of the damage potential of MLS jedi with good sabers then.

Nope, choke is working same as always lately - he wasn't slapping a stasis on you after hitting choke was he? 'Cos you can't do anything while under stasis (although I thought the dot tick from choke would have broken the stasis effect...)

It would have. TO OP:He MAY have hit Area KD right after Choke and you didn't notice it. Not saying you wouldn't notice it just that you didn't.

It happned to meon the same server.I get the choke dot and just freeze, in fact i have a screenshot of our spatial conversation about it. I am even asking him how I got paralyzed and died in like 12 seconds , very bizarre.
Please tell me in game os we can compare notes on the name of the Jedi .....hhhhhmmmm

The first fight I was dead in about 10-15 seconds which is insane since I have fought many jedi for 30-45 minutes. I wasnt hit with stasis but just froze even after the first incap I could not move. If choke is this powerful then hunting jedi is useless, once choke is applied its over all you can do it stand there and die since even incap doesnt remove the freeze effect. I dont think its working as intended and would love to hear from others on this......

very interesting..... I don't believe choke got a temp root..... it might be game lag... as the previous poster mentioned, he might've KD'd you right after using choke.

was no KD and the freeze effect lasted even after incap...incapped...stood back up still could not move. I think its some sort of bug that is causing the freeze effect, so far 2-3 of us have had a simular thing happen after force choke is used on us.

Hey Tiker, let me know here, Im on duty today so I wont be ingame til tommorow. If its a bug we need to report it so it cant get fixed like the rest of the bugs 
but at least it can be reported as a bug.

Choke Does not root you, All it is a DOT.. just like poison/fire etc... You sure he didnt stasis you? for some reason I think stasis arent breaking while taking damage from dots.. Or maybe it was server lag...

No stasis, no kd, no lag. He moved fine damage wasgiven by both jedi at a rapid rate and incap went normal timer was up, I stood up automatically and still was froze in place unable to move, heal ect as posted before...it all spells bug IMO.

its a bug I had it happen to and then killed the same jedi easily the next day. I was so mad when it did happen though , being frozen and unable to use ur uber stuff because of a stupid bug is bs!
