Thread: Question on NPC marks

Im CL 76 with MRifle/0003Pistoleer/2444BH. Since the last publish or 2 I guess they finally fixed the mission difficulty on marks which took away my "easy" grinding of the investigation tree. Anyways, Ive been taking the lowest possible mark I can take (usually around level 69-70) and the marks always end up being 2 levels higher than that. I have trouble beating them, I get incapped at least once and if I dont get incapped twice then they almost incap me. I wanted to know what I can do to make this easier... they're 4-5 levels below me so I dunno why theyre laying the smackdown on me. I got some comp armor and a 280 dps rifle which isnt amazing but its all I can afford. Maybe I just suck but could someone point some things that I could do to not get wasted by guys 4-5 levels below me ?

Use blind shot, duelist stance, anything to make him hit you less
Also KD him a lot, you do more damage then

I still dont get how now even level 70 marks manage to get the best of me. Im using duelist stance, doing KD, even rooting him and they still do tons of damage to me. Some guys have silver or gold triangle like figures near their names. I dunno if that could explain something. Im at a loss

silver=elite
gold=boss
these are both better than normal level 81/82
The easiest way to do well against them is get some healing in your template

oh I knew it meant something. Thank you, I changed informers and the last 2 marks havent had either and have been able to take down both without losing more than a quarter of my bar. Thanks for all your help.

its all random, the elite, or boss marks can come from any informant. u could always just drop the elite or boss missiosn

yea I know I could do that and now I usually do cause they just whip me horribly ( I have pretty shotty armor) but it would be nice to know before hand if your target is elite or whatever, saves me 15 minutes a mark
