Hi ,

Excuse my ignorance but after reading the publish 21 notes it says if your over level 75 you get a chance of pulling a boss mark ?

What level BH do you have to be though ? can you be a level 75 due to other profs and just novice bh ?

Or is it only MBH who can pull them or INV 3 etc

thanks

I know my guildmates have pulled elites, but I havent heard of them pulling bosses yet. A few of them are still working on the first and second tiers of investigation.

From the pub21 notes it sounds like only MBH can pull bosses, but not too sure.

I'm novice Bounty Hunter and i've been getting all kinds of then. Normal, elites and bosses. I think it depends on your combat level, i am 80 and so i can pull cl 80 missions. So far i've done about 30 missions. I've had about 3 bosses and 8 or 10 elites, rest normal cl 80's.

So i don't think the level of BH you are affects it, only your CL.

Hope that helps

"Significantly altered NPC bounty mission NPC's and Loot. The higher the level of the Bounty Hunter increases the chance of seeing a higher level or Elite Mark. Master Bounty Hunters who are also greater than level 75 will have a small chance to draw a Boss Mark. The difficulty of the Mark will determine the quality of loot and chance of the loot to drop."

I drew a boss the other day, but I must warn you how hard they are. He was level 82 by the way. I was in full Maurader armor (6000 resistance to everything), and have a high damage Laser Rifle (1250 max). With duelists stance and the armor, he was hitting me for 350+. I'm also CL 80, if I didn't already mention. (Master Rifle/Master BH/CM 4000). Oh yeah, and his health regenerates by the way. I got him down to half health, I got incapped, and in a matter of seconds his health was already full again.

And I tried bringing a friend. BH tef removal still applies to NPC bounties.

In the end he triple incapped me.

My apologies, I'm at work and didn't get to finish my thought As I quoted above, you have to have MBH with at least enough skills in other professions to be CL 75+ in order to qualify for the boss mobs.

How to kill a 37k boss mob? Well, you can bring a friend or alt to heal you or draw the boss into agro. I've heard, though I haven't confirmed it personally, that if the boss uses an aoe and hits another party member, then that party member is allowed to attack back thus helping to kill the mark.

You can also drag him near CL 75 mobs and hope he uses an aoe. He'll hit those mobs and they'll assist you in his demise Yellow con level 75's are the best since they don't agro and you can just stand in the middle of them healing until an aoe is used. Red cons also work, but you have to be able to withstand not only the damage from the boss, but from the mobs as well. As long as you don't hit the red con mobs, they'll agro the boss when an aoe is used.

My first advice to you is don't drink anything, leave room for Ruby Bliel. Use foods only. I use Blob and Bofa for everything except the bosses. Do not let your Duelist stance run out, stop if you have to reapply. For bosses I eat Kiwik Clusjo Swirl, Bofa, Crispic and Thundercloud(low fill drink for ranged defense). I think the bosses are good practice for PC Jedi. They don't hit as hard but they force you to manage your food, drink and stims like you're fighting a Jedi. It's quite a bit slower than fighting Jedi but that let's you work on your timing and sequencing to 'get it right'. All I use is food, drink(Ruby Bliel) and stims to fight Jedi. You don't have to be CM4xx4 to fight Jedi or kill the boss marks. If I can do it, you can too.

Go get 'em,

Rovan

No. You don't have to have master BH to get boss mobs. I am novice BH and i get them every 10 or 15 marks i do. They are usually cl 82 and usually have around 30-35k HAM.

Hmmm, according to the pub 21 notes, you have to be MBH with CL 75+ to get boss mobs. You could be non-MBH and get elites. At least that's the way I interpreted what was written. I would normally challengea statement such as this, but recent testing in another discipline revealed unexpected results.

Oh well, go figure. What's written is not what they meant or how it works.

I've brought a master doc with me the last two days and she was able to keep me healed, methinks you are wrong.
