Thread: PERMA DEATH: the misunderstood pest control?

lets face it this game isn't the swg some of us started playing years ago, its Knights of the Old Republic online, i wanna see much less jedi and the only way that can happen is through the re-introduction of perma death.
I realise this is never gonna happen and that only bh's (and probably not all of us) want it but still, i wanted to say my piece.
we shouldn't see jedi in sp's fighting or in pvp battles at all, that is why they are given alts surely? so that they can be involved in normal play and their jedi can go off to their raves with the glowsticks.
If they re-introduce the force ranking system i hope it involves the jedi getting out of normal play in some way cos i'm sick of them.
When are the rest of us gonna get an elite ranking system to our professions? i want to aspire to something in the game but i don't want to be a jedi, all your left with is killing jedi or loot whording. DEVS, Give the non jedi proffesions a ranking system oh and bring back perma death so i can laugh at ppl even harder when i kill them.

Jedi population control? TOO LATE!
Yes the GCW and such are dead but they can be saved, its too latefor jedi population.

perma death would control it cos they would have to either stop fighting in gcw or lose their jedi.

It would ruin the game for so many people, implementing that is a selfish thing when there are so many better ways to save the GCW.

Well said Beets. It is so unfair taht Jedi get treat better than we(every otehr proffesion that BH) they get the best access to templates, a whole lotta free new characters all these great things, and they STIL COMPLAIN. And they say us BH are always whining? well for chrissakes! they always complain on how unfair they ahve it and BS like that, they disrespect all the otehr proffesions and it is about time that they are broguht down to our level, the NORMAL level, and in my opinion, i think taht the Devs can, bring back hologrinding and perma death, and it is a real situation, they got rid of it, so who says they can't bring it back? Jedi make me sick.

Ruin the game? sayings its selfish? YOU are teh selfish one, a typical jedi only thining bout his tempalte. it would be better for SWG brining the game more attention and more users.

and realize you are such a moron that has no idea how the perma death system worked at all.. Why dont you research things before posting. Perma death never worked the way you think it did and it was a borked system to begin with. Saber TEF isa better answer to your solution. Yes there are alot of jedi but who the he!! cares.. Jedi are not unbeatable by no means.. Smart BH dont just run in.. Smart BH watch there prey for the right time to attack. I do agree they need more alfa class professions.. Would be nice to see them come in game.. Jedi shouldnt be the only thing to aspire to be.

Ease up on the generilzations, Harvey birdman attorney at law (i watch tv late at night too). Some of the best people you will ever meet are jedi.
Dev's said they will never bring back saber TEF, it shafts jedi and thats unfair. See you dont hear the jedi that dont whine but you do hear the whiners.
There are just as many whiney BH as jedi, i assure you of it

Does anyone understand that if you bring in perma death there will not be any Jedi hunting anymore? I like hunting jedi's , in fact I want more of it not less.

Maybe you friedn are the moron, you think its all about controlling the popualtion? it isn't ists so much more, so much mroe that you jedi get, while everyone else doesn't! for isnstance there are soem artisan glitches taht still ahven't been fixed sicne pub 12! and u jedi get all teh attention! we arn't saying jedi are unbeatable either they are quite beatable, but still a pain, and still horrible how many advantages you jedi get, and yet still whine about how "unfair" things are for you.

The Devs decide what to fix and what not too, its there responsibility to assess these situations. Jedi cannot be held accountable at all.

and yet you still dont get it.. perma death will not control the population unless the jedi quits the game.. It never deleted your toon at all.. Just your skills were gone and had to start over... Research before you speak.
