Thread: MCarbineer BH's please look

I left pistols and am going for MCarbines. I love the "crowd control" specials for larger scale PvP....but how about Jedi? All class 54 weapons are energy not kinetic. I'm starting to think Pistols/Rifles are the only ones who can take down Jedi. (CM too, but I dont want that route).
Plus we can't wear recon armor. Just wanted ur thoughts on being Carbineer. Thanks for the input!

You don't have the same problems as pistoleer and rifleman (as in, no range to kite, and difficult to kite due to carrying a huge gun.) The armor is comparable (the difference between 7k and 8k is only a few percent). The damage is very good and so is the KD (almost always sticks and does some good damage along with it.)
Very well-rounded professionin terms of defense and offense. There are no serious drawbacks to Carbineer that you need to compensate for.

For the armor: energy RIS can go over 7000 add 350 health bonus and you got top notch armor
The weapon... well czerka is the kinetic... but lvl 50

You don't really need a kin weapon to hunt Jedi. The PSG only lasts for a couple shots anyway, and even then... you're not going to beat a Jedi into the ground with pure damage in any template.

hunted 7 jedi today and managed to kill 5 of them. My temp is MC / MBH / 4XXX CM

The only disadvantage that I can being a master carbineer is delaying shots, we carbineers have to really surprise a jedi well for an alpha strike to work. We cannot cloack but what carbines lack in surprise and delay abilities, they make up for in speed, range, damage, and most importantly SAC. Special action costs really can make you float or sink in PvP, and since jedi are able to heal while knocked down, we need the extra speed to be able to drain their force bars. We can't just use a delay shot to keep them from healing on the ground like riflemen, but carbineers can certainly out damage rifleman when given the same opprotunities and time. Use test center before you decide though, because its alot easier to get what you paid for in xp, and much less frustrating if you test you template out first.

I have been playing for awhile but this will sound noobish........you can just test out temps on test center withought grinding it?
