basically, all armor si created equal now.

ALL kinetic armor can have teh best energy resists, and all assault armor can have the best kinetic resists. Battle armor is basically all-around decent armor.

So for PvP(basically jedi fighting) I would say use battle, because it can be made up to about 7200 energy I think. PvE use asault armor, since most mobs do kinetic damage.

Doesn't matter which armor skin(compo/RIS/etc) you use as they are all just different appearances.

It would great for more people to post, especially about types of slices and such. The reason I say this is because of people like myself that are returning may really be confused.

One thing I learned was that if you check your skill boxes in the UI skill trees you can find what armor you are even certified for. Also on Naritus, the best battle gear I've seen so far, factional and others, at best was 6000 k armor to energy and kinetic. 950k for factional, and 400k for padded or chiten with comporable stats.

The poster above mentioned 7200 for battle, which would be amazing, but I couldn't find stats that strong in our most popular mall (maybe a custom order for the right coin may get it that good, or perhaps our resources at this time will not support something that hi) I am pleased that some of my pre c upgrade armor has decent stats on them. And for casual gamers... note that u'll do fine with that pre c upgrade gear in pve....that you'll even be okay with little to no armor if you are careful (of course healing in your temp would help that) and with the right group.

I searched the forums for stickies and posts on this topic and couldn't find a good thread. If you read this and have some good points, however small, please post, if anything u'll keep it bumped for new players and people returning.
