Just curious why theres no other profession setting up a Top 5 Wish List as Jedi forum has?

Aren't the Devs at all intrested in what we'd like to see in game?

For the sake to equality I'd like to see a discussion thread on this topic, set up by you Tanks.

All professions should have one thread like this, not only Jedi. Or is it only me noticing that theres alot of stuff in SWG thats gravitated towards Jedi?

I've seen them before in crafting professions ... it's not that big a deal to do, it seems.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if you read the posts on the Jedi WishList you will find a few issues being posted several times, those are:

Vis decrease - no group vis. Fulfilled

Decrease in XP loss when DBd Fulfilled

LS elementary damage increased Fulfilled

BH goes up on the terms when failing mission Fulfilled

No XP loss in PVE Fulfilled

No names on terms Fulfilled

PLz, don't say the chance to get the wishes true are about 0...I'd say the chance is 100% for jedi so far...

It's simple really:

This game, that started out as a great idea, has gone to poop because some crackhead decided that they'd let players become jedi. Now that they've realized just what a clusterfook it's become, there's really nothing else for them to do other than to milk it for all it's worth until the whole thing just implodes.

I'm not going out of my way to be bitter here; I'm just stating the facts. Think about it--where is the GCW anymore? This game is supposed to be set between episodes IV and V because, frankly, it's the most interesting time in the whole saga. You've got the Empire on one side, the Rebellion on the other and a whole bunch of smaller groups of people just generally not getting along. But, during the course of the discussion that must have taken place somewhere just before player jedi were introduced to the game, no one ever stopped to ask one very important question: What would happen if the jedi had not been wiped out? Palpatine carefully orchestrated and timed certain events so that the jedi would be all but eliminated from the galaxy in the blink of an eye with "Order 66". If he hadn't, and instead chose to simply declare himself emperor and begin to have bases built, the whole thing would have crumbled because just as a base was built, a jedi strikeforce would have shown up and blown it to pieces. (sound familiar?)

Now no one on either side can enjoy anything close to a "Galactic Civil War" because the game has become completely about getting to jedi and slowing down the jedi. It has to be this way now because there's really nothing else that can be "accomplished". There are two types of jedi players: Those that PVP and those that PVE. PVP Jedi want to be jedi so that they can "pwn joo". Their goal is to be the most powerful butt-kicker in the game. It's kind of a "Highlander" thing, only there will never be "only one". But eventually, one day, there will be one dude who has proven himself by beating everyone else. The PVE jedi want to be jedi so that they can finish every quest, defeat every mob and loot every loot there is. Those that are complaining that there isn't enough content in the game are the ones who have done pretty-much everything there is to do and are just looking for more to conquer. Nothing wrong with that, really... Except that when there isn't any new content, they get bored and pull stunts like soloing Nyax for weeks at a time, never giving anyone else even a half-shot at the loot so that they can take it all and gouge everyone else on the forums while their accounts grow bigger with more creds to sell on eBay.

What it all comes down to is that there really is just no good purpose to having jedi in the game, and having them here is fundamentally game-breaking, just by their very existence. The devs didn't consider that before they started dolling out holos and now look at the state of things. The game will eventually implode, and I don't imagine it will be long from now at this rate. It's easier to get jedi now than it was before, it's easier to grind xp because it seems that the devs are basically looking for excuses to give us double-xp time. Now they have provided Jedi with a nearly-safe haven for grinding on Kashyyk. After publish 20, it'll be nearly impossible to get them once they've landed there. Seriously--with a halfway decent group, a jedi never has to leave his or her preferred grinding spot. Even if he or she needs more food or stims he can always ask someone in the group to go get it for 'em. I don't see any reason at all why a padawan would ever want to leave the Myydrill Caverns until his template is complete. It's getting to where we're going to have to catch 'em on the way in somehow, or forget it.

It's my belief that the devs have realized the mistake they've made and now it's just too late. They can't simply tell everyone "Whoopsie! I'm afraid that we're just going to have to eliminate your character or allow to respec to any other profession you want because we simply can't have guys like you running around, blowing everything up and makin' a mess outta the game for everyone else." Instead, they're asking Jedi what they would like to see, and they're giving it to them. Eventually, you'll see a steady pilgrimage from the Village straight to Kashyyk, and no one leaving except for fully-templated knights. Then they will fight a bit, get bored, quit, and SWG will be over and the devs can begin to try to come up with their next project. Only, they won't come out and put it in those words because, let's face it--a pretty big group of people would just quit and all they'd have left are jedi--still about 60% of the money they're getting now, but 40% less. They'd rather keep as much of that money coming in for as long as they can until it just disintigrates on its own.

Doesn't Tanks have a forum post stickied at the top of the BH forum called BH Top Issues? Granted, he hasn't updated it in a while. But then again, no one seems to use it much.

Or do you want to be so much like the jedi, that you even want the same wish list?
