Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, Commando weps are grossly underpowered imo.
I bet you any money that my BH/Doc combo would far outstrip a BH/Commando in lasting power pve and pvp

i enjoy my template, Master Rifleman, Master Combat Medic, and BH 0310. It works actually really good, pve and pvp. Mainly becuase I have a really nice rifle, but otherwise with CM it works well in pvp. the 0310 gives a kd shot and improved crit, which i find to be near the same if not the same to advanced crit. But, i can only pull npc missions, if i were to want to pull jedi i would maybe consider MBH, but this is a really good template if you are just lookin to build up a lil cash IMO.
if you go comando take profession with a lot of status efect like smugler and a bit of pistoler(actualy 2 master and 1 4344) it's the combo of highclass ranged profession with the bigest number of boxes you will be able to do in the game( near of 3 master....) and your zone damage weapon will spread death to your opponent.... mass root, mass bleed, mass concution... mass last ditch
and lot of funy things similar.
this option is about comando and pve... if you want bh and pve take pistol carabine or rifle as second.... or even smugler....
for a bh pvp I suggest you the week flavour(since my template bh carabine squadleader is useless after they modified heal so much)
since snare can be break by force run or burst run I won't suggest you carabine.... the pistol root will make a big difference...

This would be true if our AoE worked properly and didn't just do elemental +1 damage.
I really wanted one of my toons to be a BH commando, it just didn't work and the skill point cost reduces the amount of dabbling you can do by a great deal. ![]()
Aoe is broken - Pistoleers/Carbiners (hell..BH too) have better AOE
Grenades are next to useless and pointlessly expensive
Weapons are lower damage/higher SAC than other weapons
You need to take the unarmed line for no worthy reason

i have acctually tried this template, i was a MBH, Mcommando and some other fs skills and medical mix.
it was great against mobs but very bad against jedi and other bounty targets.
i got totaly pounded by jedi and the other ncp bountys i went for, but was great in a spinning group with my plasma thrower.
