I started playing SWG when it first came out, and enjoyed much success. I used to post on this board frequently up until I quit almost 2 years ago, right before I quit a friend asked me to help him try to level his profession, so assuming I was never going to play again I dropped Master BH and the last box in investigations to have enough Skill Points to heal him on his quests, hell I wouldn't need the skills anymoreright?

Well last night I decided to play again after a 2 year hiatus, so I unfortunatley was still a Warrant Officer in the rebel army, and overt, so I fly into Kaadara the usual staging area for my Investigations missions, and I am attacked by several storm troopers, well by my own fault I neglected to read any of the new combat upgrade material, and I am attempting to fight and I notice all my macros are gone, and I can't use my scatter pistol (oh Shi*), so luckily I have a few decent carbines on me and I figured out enough to kill all the attacking bastards.

So, I get the mission head outside Kaadara, launch probe droid, target comes back on LOK (as usual), so I head to LOK get there get pummeled by NYM's pirates, but manage to get away (have to find a way to improve my thug faction), so I launch my seekers which go out and find Isepi Owegao as my quarry, he is of course 5000m away, I get to him, and I suit up with my composite armor, pull out my EE3 carbine (most of my decent weapons decayed away in my house long ago),I head towards the quarry and start off with a torso shot to hopefully land a bleed, then after the timer finished I hit him with underhand shot to knock him down, and an eyeshot to blind him, but when he is up and shooting he is pretty much beating the crap out of me, and he incapped me within 40 secs. "What's this, the great Battosai is only a shadow of his former self, I have never been incapped by a mark and here I am lying on the ground", so I get up pop a camp and try to re-think my strategy obviously I am missing something here. So I have some Muon Gold and Neutron Pixie left over and I figure drugs (SWG steroids) will give me the edge I need, so after I recover I pop the drugs and head into combat again, this time I hit him with an eyeshot, then an underhand shot with my EE3 carbine, I switch to my LLC and kneel and manage to pop him with a decent shot, after all that his energy is down to 75%, and he promptly recovers and incaps me again. "OMG, incapped twice by the same mark, my ego is non-existent at this point, and I am hoping to get the 20k bounty somehow". I sit down and recover and I head into battle one last time, well this time he makes quick work of me before I can really even implement a strategy, his shots hit hard and stimpacks don't recover me like they used to, so I am cloned and come out and I cancel the mission, and I sit in the clone center wondering what to do.

So I am here asking my fellow BH's to point me to some type of guide I can read, so I can catch up on the changes, also I am still elgible for Respec, so I still need to do that. I am currently 3 4 4 4 in BH, Master Scout, Master Marksman, enough skill points to almost master Carbineer, most of my old strategy was centered around the speed of my scatter and combining that with carbine knockdowns, well times have changed so I am what you would call and elite noob, I have a boat load of skills, decent weapons, but am really green on the new combat system.
