theres just no way u can face a jedi without a lot of coin....u need1-2 mill for armourslice(armourbreak), 5-7 mill for a perfect weapon/looted item...but then it'd still be best to use an ADK (i seem to have insane luck and ive ONLY hit MDefs so far..and ONE padawan..out of 7 jedi missions)

ive read the good guides/strategy guides...i have all of that, just not the weapons, armorbreak tears me apart...dont even attempt to fight them without that little slice...u WILL die against a pre-cu saber/Master def/ls and 1/2 of them have pre-cu uber perfect crystal sabers

staying 35m + away from a jedi..is NOT that easy, 99% of them arent stupid they wont let u close that distance from them. ive seen ONE BH do it...nobody else and i tend to watch a lof of them

so this isnt a complaint, just a warning to new MBH...dont try it...they have the highground

Of course they have the "high ground," that's what makes it fun. I do better and better every jedi mission. With the addition of uber loot from the BH NPC missions, BH's are now able to afford the cool toys that make our jobs easier.

My semi-uber gun (1165 max damage w/ 85 SAC) = 2 mil (after damage slice)

ADK = Free reward

Armor + slicing = no more than1 mil

The most expensive part is the skill tapes, which I agree are insanely over priced. But still, it keeps things interesting and keeps me working toward a goal. I'm by no means an "uber BH" but ive killed 9 jedi by myself. Which is more than none.

Well I'm 2444 BH, so I will be master soon.

I can reduce some of the cost of this for myself.

I am already msmuggler, so I'll be slicing all my own gear. Doing NPC missions has provided me with almost all the parts I need. The rest I still have some AUK's and WUK's left to convert.

Also with the NPC missions, I have almost looted enough shcems to create a whole suit of BH armor(which I will slice myself) I also have a AS that is offering to craft the entire suit for 100k which seems reasonable on eclipse.

Still working on the weapon. I have 3 adv laser rifles I have sliced in different configs, so hopefully one of them will do nicely against jedi's

I also have a proton carbine I have not sliced yet.....I'm sure it will do some damage. Although I'd like to get ahold of a kryat crafted weapon, I do have some firepower.

That does not eliminate my expenses, but does reduce them a bit.

You might wanna look into dropping MSmug after you slice your stuff, as you won't stand too much of chance against most jedi.

well smuggler was my first choice. I've been Msmuggler for some time and have only recently started BH, which I've dropped commando for. I'll just have to find a way around it. This biggest thing that hurts though is that i need 3 novice boxes in normal proffs to get this template

unarmed and pistols for smuggler and scout for BH, uses too many SP.

Hopefully I can find some tactics to make up for a bit weaker of a template.

Will you have any healing besides stims? Healing is vital to the survival of a BH, as most fights are long.

Unfortunatly no. That is something I've been thinking about, but I'm so attatched to smuggler and would need to give that up completely, not to mention a huge chunk of CL, to get medi, then eventually CM. So I'm kinda torn between keeping my current template, and being effective in PVP.

I do have a guildie or 2 I might be able to get to tag along that have CM. But that is as close as I have right now to healing abilities. I do carry a large suppy of stim d's wherever I go. And ruby bliels as well.

Zotux - How do you like the smuggler/bh template?

I've been considering that myself & would like to hear from someone's who's done it.

Well I'm not quite MBH yet, but so far it is good. The state effects from smuggler compliment KD and Stun/dizzy shots from BH. Being able to loot my own components, then slice my own BH gear is a plus and saves $ big time.

But according to the feedback in this thread, it won't be too powerfull in PVP. Once I make master and go after a jedi or 2, I'll repost, but that may be a few days as I'm going toa wedding tomorrow and will not have time to play.

This is true, but at the same time, it all depends on your playstyle. I'm an MBH/MRifles/Pistoleer 0003 with too many FS skills to have any healing. I don't like long drawn out fights anyway, and I have no intention of fighting with an Mdef until they run out of force. I am by no means the best BH out there, but I have killed my fair share of jedi, and I have taken down complete templates.

For me the key is attacking at the right time and front loading a ton of damage. As a BH this is my advantage, choosing when and where to strike. If I've chosen poorly, then I will likely die. But so be it. If I don't win the fight in the first 5 minutes of so, I likely won't win the fight at all. This is the way I prefer to hunt.

So yes, if you want to wear a Jedi down, drain all of his force, and don't mind fighting for an hour or so, then healing is essential. But if you prefer to strike hard and fast, and use your element of surprise to it's fullest, you can make do with stims and ruby bliel. Just kind of a counter arguement to the MBH/MCM fotm templates out there.
